After working their booties off to give us, IMO the best Superhero movie to date, they still thank the fans for making it happen.

I honestly thought that Star Wars would have been the movie I'd see more than once this year. Just got back from my second Deadpool viewing.

They more than delivered. They rekt the fucking box office. Best opening for an R rated movie and also for a non sequel solo superhero movie

10 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

It had me hooked before the end of the opening credits.

Hence why I said "not verbatim" because I knew I was going to fuck this sentence up. Take a chill pill man.

I looked forward to this movie for a long time and I can't help but be overjoyed with how it was! Now all I can do is wait for number 2!

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Just watched the voices yesterday, weird movie.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Did you know Ryan Reynolds does the animal voices aswell? Found that out today. Was v. impressed with his Scottish accent :)

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Lol, that's an interesting factoid

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He's very talented and has done voice over work before. Big fan of Voices. Loved it.

It came out last Wednesday in the UK.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nice, I saw it last night

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And it was fucking good.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's pretty adorable how emotionally invested RR is in Deadpool, the IP. It's heartwarming to see him succeed.

10 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 0

It was really funny when he said don't make the superhero costume green!

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Hear, hear. I'll second that. A toast to Mr. Reynolds.

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

She's gonna do the superhero jump!

10 years ago | Likes 170 Dislikes 6

technically he said "Superman" jump bc she did that fist pound, earth dust landing kiddo

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 20

He said "superhero landing"

10 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

You're correct via YT clip i just watched so my bad

I seriously couldn't believe that was Gina Carano. She's fucking huge, and I know she's only 5'8"

10 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 1

I think she either bulked up a little or they cg'd some stuff - she looked more jacked than I remember her being

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

That bit where she's fighting Colossus and he has to stop...classic

Gina Carano has been my crush since American Gladiator, and Red Alert 3. I would probably be speechless if I ever met her.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I was just about to Google her. She is brutal. I have a girl crush.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ditto

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

See, what'd I tell you? Super hero jump! So cool! Killer on the knees though.

10 years ago | Likes 84 Dislikes 2

It's "Superhero Landing". It's even in the trailer...

10 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

Totally impractical. They always do it though.

10 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 0

This movie was soooo fuckin good. Everything I wanted it to be and more

Imagine what kind of money they'd make if the 1.3 billion Chinese people could also pay to see it... *angry screech*

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Why can't they?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Because Chinese people have to be protected from blood, sex, violence and bad language. Something something Mark Twain on censorship.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The Chinese market is NUTS. They only allow a few movies per year to be screened, and those have adhere to strict suitability criteria.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oh so sort of like when titanic got reshown and they banned the painting scene?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, it's a whole different kettle of fish. I'm quite sure they only import a small set of Hollywood films per year too, like it's capped.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Those opening credits immediately told me how amazing this movie was going to be.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

By fat my new favorite movie

Saw this tonight. Loved it!

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Now make Ghostrider the R rated horror movie it shoulda been!

10 years ago | Likes 48 Dislikes 1

I think that's another one we shouldn't talk about

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If we don't talk about it, we'll never get past it. Thats how you get a dozen terrible Fantastic Four movies.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oh god those were awful.

10 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

When I first heard about ghost rider it seemed so cool. GR2 was one the worst movies of all time. But so bad it was funny.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

WITHOUT NIC CAGE who would be good for ghost rider?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nic Cage from Leaving Las Vegas?

I didn't think anyone could come between me and my loyalty to X-Men, in general, but yes, best Superhero movie to date

10 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 3

I mean, I'm not gonna say that they're the reason he's there but, let's say the name of the guy responsible rhymes with "pulverine"

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well I mean in that big house there was 2 x men, it's like the studio couldn't afford another one or something

10 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

I agree. X2 has be usurped.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I feel the same way, are you sure you're not me?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Dark knight, watchmen, batman begins, man of steel (I know it divides opinions), ironman 1 ate my personal faves

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

well if you feel conflicted, according to wikipedia Deadpool was technically an X-Men movie. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deadpool_(film)

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Really? I thought it was just fine, very enjoyable, but spent way too much time on pre-Deadpool Wade. Looking forward to the sequel more.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

I'm happy with how they did it though. Started on action, then peppered in the origin, while returning to the action frequently.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Going to see it for the 3rd time tonight!

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

....... Why?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 6

Most faithful comic adaption to date. That fucking pizza guy scene was straight out of the source material.

As a new Deadpool fan, I am not familiar with the source material, but the pizza guy scene was fantastic.

10 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

Right on, well essentially that scene plays out exactly like a moment in the comics, down to the pineapple and black olive pizza :D

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Which comic was that in?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

It's one of the comics in the album that I linked in the other reply to Smadronia. Can't remember which

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh also, here: /a/pZJos Ran across this a while back. Enjoy your new fandom!

Is there an explanation to the comment about him shitting in a kitty litter box, even though he doesn't have a cat? I didn't understand that

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

No. There is no explanation. It will haunt your dreams forever.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Oh.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yeah that's about the right response.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I saw it last week but can't remember a pizza guy scene. Refresh my memory please.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Before he becomes deadpool when he tells the guy to leave the girl alone

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It was the first flashback scene.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Holy shit, I really can't remember that.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I don't want to give too much away lest I upset someone for posting "spoilers"

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He's at the guy's place and orders the pizza and asks him "then whose litter box did I just shit in?"

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I know I squealed when I saw that scene. And they put fucking hydra bob in! Loved it!

10 years ago | Likes 126 Dislikes 1

FUCK I DIDNT CATCH THAT UNTIL NOW!!

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Wait... That was seriously Hydra Bob??? Awesome!

10 years ago | Likes 47 Dislikes 0

they couldn't use hydra since it's marvel, but it was a nice way of working around that legal detail.

10 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Bob was the moment I swooned for the film.

10 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

I was the only one who laughed when he saw bob

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Same! Then I had to explain it to my so-called "friends" afterwards.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My friend and I squealed, "IT'S BOB." Some guy behind us followed up with "YEAH, BOB." He had, what, 15 secs of screen time? It was great.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yeah :D, pity they couldn't acknowledge him as hydra though. At least they were able to make xmen jokes

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Best superhero movie ever? Like ever ever?

10 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 1

Depends a lot on person preference... but it's definitely up there.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

It's right up there with Guardians of the Galaxy for me.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Best adaptation of source material, and best characters.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Personally Id say yes, what really makes it is how funny it is.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I'm still going with Captain America: Winter Soldier as my favorite, but this is a different kind of good. Deadpool is worth watching.

10 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 5

Agree 100%

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'd say top 10. Batman's are all better, Iron man 1, Ant-Man. Its up there though, besides being funny it was an awesome movie

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 4

Nah its just the fanboys talking.

He was definitely very Deadpool-y in Deadpool.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

this much wit and effort into advertising as they did in the movie, it might be alright. I got my hopes up. And actually, loved the movie.

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Ryan Reynolds definitely gave maximum effort for the movie

BootyClappin. Great name

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

there was so much pressure and build-up from fans that if there had been even a whiff of him phoning it in he'd get shit on. He did great!

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Besides it being a pitch perfect adaptation. It had that Hellboy vibe. Movie felt like the crew loved making it.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

WHAT ABOUT THE TWO SWORDS DONT FORGOT THE SWORDS.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm not surprised. It's sort of been his dream role since he first started acting. It's why he agreed to be in Wolverine Origins.

10 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

I heard he first took interest in the role when the comic described deadpool as looking like "Ryan Reynolds mixed with a sharpei"

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

I got that reference.

10 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 1

I just saw the movie. His references are out of control

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Do you ever watch a movie and think "This is what his entire career will be" Kinda like Mark H. for Luke Skywalker.

10 years ago | Likes 59 Dislikes 3

Tho in this case I think it'll be a no ragrets scenario. Hamill wasn't so hot about Luke for years, Reynolds did it to himself deliberately.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He's actually done voices for many characters like the joker and even fire lord Ozai in Avatar the last airbender.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

He was already Van Wilder which is really just Deadpool in college.

10 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

That's how I know him.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That is...surprisingly accurate.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He's literally never stopped playing he same character.

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

But in a good way, not like in the Adam Sandler way

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Same with Bill Murray.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yeah but then Mark became the best Joker ever later in his career.

10 years ago | Likes 43 Dislikes 1

That and his Trickster is pretty fantastic.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

TIL Luke is jokers voice. Didnt know that!!!
