TL;DR - I'm a Flight Attendant. Wore my nose ring on flight home from vaca'. Working F/A tattled on FB. I hollered back.

Some responses were positive and/or uncaring...

...others weren't as cool.

Naturally, I just couldn't sit by and let the close-mindedness ensue without a rebuttal...

*"Charm Farm* is what we F/A's so lovingly call our training facility.

My response ended up getting 40+ likes, several supportive replies, and inevitable deletion:

(Doubles as "Kat" tax for long post and spelling errors.)

You're smokin', just saying. I used to get shit in the military for not shaving when I wasn't on duty. I'm not in uniform asshole, fuck off.

It's sad that the world has generally evolved so much but airlines seem to be stuck in 1950s when it comes to FA rules and etiquette

They were in the right, you were in the wrong. Shame on you.

OP wasn't in uniform (just wearing an ID badge isn't "in uniform"), and wasn't at work. Therefore, doesn't have to follow dress-regulations.

I understand they weren't in uniform. I did read the post.
