check on them if you don't see them for a few days.

As a bigger guy working out and trying to slim down +1.

Unless you’re the type of 38 year old or heavy person that would rather not have to talk to somebody. Or am I just antisocial?

Not everyone who puts themselves in an uncomfortable situation has anxiety.

The 18 year-old guy in your daughter's third grade class, on the other hand...

I'm 48 and about 2/3 of the way through a bachelor's in mechanical engineering.

I just felt so weird seeing someone my dad's age at uni. My mind would still see them as a superior - like a teacher - and not an equal.

Ummm fuck this. Thise 36 year olds ALWAYS get grouped first cause they are "more serious about school" this post is retarded. Old = god

I went back to college for a BS in physics from 29-33. It was awesome and if anything intimidated younger peers. Most popular I've been.

I dunno, at my gym nobody gives a shit about the overweight people? Like they don't even notice. All different kinds of ppl go to the gym

"Oh, thank you, anxiety calmed."

Some of my best pals in uni were over 35. They take academics very seriously. Befriend these people! They're helpful.

I remember college students would never want to be in a group with with me. Went to school full time, worked full time, wife and two kids.

Are they extreme anxiety inducing situations though? Or do we make them so ourselves?

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Having been a mature-aged student, it really is anxiety-inducing.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The 38 year old is likely much less anxious than you think. They are there with purpose and they have heard the questions of the freshman.

I'm that guy. I really don't give a crap about you kids unless it's group assignment time.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What am I even saying? Whatever the age, all the folks in class are just normal, polite enough people so far.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I was thirty in college. We make the best group members. We got cars, partime jobs, you better believe we are gonna get our homework done

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I prefer to just be left alone

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You always lose me at the "anxiety inducing" commentary. I get anxious at stuff too. Stop making everyone sound like a coddled bich about it

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

full respect for people going back to study, but not when 40-year olds think their opinion deserves more respect than others even when wrong

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

How about just be nice to everyone?

7 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

Except for that cunthole Steve.

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Well this is hardly the type of language I expect out of JustHereToUploadHorsePorn

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

No, no. That's a terrible idea. My smile would just end up giving them even more anxiety.

Yeah I dont have anxiety about anything I do. I dont want the extra effort of confrontation during anything I do. I prefer doing it alone.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Even though I am not quite 38 yet, I am getting close, and just want to say STOP TREATING US LIKE WE ARE 65 YEARS OLD!

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Ive seen shit

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

One has seen bigger shit than the other. I leave it to you to guess which.

Even if you're as much a shut in as I am? You've had 40 years to know other people. Think of every second hand story you probably have.(1)

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Knowledge needn't be first hand to be valuable. Its why learning at the feet of elders is important.(2)

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Figure the 38 year old probably doesn't give a shit about the opinion of the 17 year old tbh.

7 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

we humans can be fickle some may not some may best to ere on the side of caution and kindness.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

38 is not old enough to not care about what others think of you. Apparently, that begins around 45.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

I'm 33 now and I can tell you I couldn't give two shits about whether a bunch of teenagers like me.
