And every time it takes off it creates more pollution than your car will in it's entire existence including it's creation.

the Taliban got a c-130 leftover from our retreat from Afghanistan and they immediately crashed it while showing off.

A rather nice plane to ride in, smooth takeoff and landing.

Jumping out of one of those is a trip. You walk out the door, take step on the platform, go to take a second step and VVVVWWWWOOOOOOOOOP you are in the airstream and falling.

Honestly, my favorite aircraft to jump from. I've flown in one three times and literally never experienced a landing in one.

Did you know, these babies are capable of deploying several dozen cruise missiles from a single aircraft via airdrop packages. Said missiles are tricky to shoot down so can threaten an enemy fleet or deplete it's defences. That's how you weaponize the best logistic capabilities in the world.

Daddy was Thunderbird 2, Mom was a blimp.

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Those planes do that when it's cold out. It's perfectly normal.

This is what we have instead of housing healthcare and food

I was just noticing how its mouth does not seal closed. So either the mouth is always dry or it keeps drooling all over itself.

Damn those closed hatch seams are invisible.

2 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

For those wondering how anyone stayed attached to the plane on a flight out of Afghanistan that closing mechanism should make it clear.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

the designers know that the fewer the seams, the less air turbulence produced, and consequently, aerodynamic drag, which would translate into less efficient fuel consumption and lift capability. they also knew there was a way to make them literally invisible unless you're very close or use a higher bitrate... video compression

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

you like that? You’ll love this.

2 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Dwarf doors are invisible when closed.

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Pretty sure that's an artifact of the compression and it seems like they upscaled the video or something like that. Those hatches must be really good anyway though

We get these instead of healthcare

2 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 11

Except we don't even get these, a few hundred people in the military get these.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

The RAF has 8 of them, so we get them _and_ healthcare...

Tories: "Wait."

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

You could have healthcare AND these - if you appropriately taxed these:

And also didn't vote for these:

I mean, YOU don't get the C-17. They do. Unless you join the army. Then you get both.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

If only there was a camera orientation that would more closely match the planes shape.

2 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 1

Sadly, such a thing does not exist
