Drawing in stages

I usually use a grid on my photos and drawing paper to try and keep things as accurate as possible. I thought the hills were too blah, so in the next pic you can see I added more color.

I like the hills, but for a background they are too bright. I’m not going to try and fix it, because I think the drawing would look muddy.

Calling it done, a few things still need tweaked- but I’m just happy to finish it up.

Oil pastels are impossible for me to work with! This is regular pastel and pastel pencils! I normally donate to the local auctions:)
