Looks like a liquid was spill on this M1 before I bought it. Thankfully I got it it before it got too serious. Drenched it with Isopropyl alcohol and a tooth brush and wipe down with tissue and cotton buds. It has scrubbed up like new again
On the bright side , it doesn't seem to be Coke as it leaves a brown type residue.
Best thing is, with a good cleaning, it looks new again

Deoxit does wonders when cleaning that sort of corrosion and damage. Ridiculously over priced though.
