Shit aint plugged in....

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

#1 You can go wireless, but you do need power. Unless you are using batteries. Do note the power cord for the lamp setting at the base.

Bwutuce computer

IT guys hate this one simple trick!

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I see what you did there...

That's the latest shit Wireless Energy

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Damn, that is impressive. It's like it's non-existent!

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's all wireless connected.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

4 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

Hmm, wireless internet, wireless monitor, wireless power supply? Technology really has improved

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And then you have my place, looks like a fucking snake pit. with dust. and...OTHER things.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Dude, I have a little studio at home for recording music ... it's a fucken nightmare my cable management is so bad. I'm almost proud of it.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Seems legit

4 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 0

Shes on Wifi IT MEANS WIRELESS NETWORK whats the problem?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And an invisible keyboard.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Everything runs on 5G

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

DJs joke about this all the time. https://youtu.be/4oBj1SwbBPM

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Seems legit.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I thought the thin bars were the cords and I was impressed

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I especially like the lamp cord tied up and "hiding" in front of the lamp

4 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

Good pick up. I had to go back

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As of this morning, we are completely wireless here on Schrute Farms. As soon as I find out where Mose hid all the wires...

Oh I thought you asked me what our chances were of being murdered here tonight

That's the hardness scale. Mose is Dwight's cousin.

Everything is wireless, so futuristic.

4 years ago | Likes 68 Dislikes 0

Even the lamp lol

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

lamp has wire

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But it's bundled up on the desktop.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But they're right. It does have wire...

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Actually has me thinking though, is there way to make wireless HDMI connection, like how Chromecast works? (Obviously you'd still need power

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Yes. Wireless HDMI exists but it's expensive and I believe generally only up to 1080p. Pretty sure it's mostly used commercially for signage

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Are you talking to make your screen wireless? Yes I have one, people will straight tell you it doesn't exist but it does

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I just brought some thing on Kickstarter that should (we'll see), but even then it has a sizable receiver that you'd see

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah, I know this image is just a fake stick photo, that thought just crossed my mind upon seeing this, that you could make a nearly

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Wireless setup

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I figured as much, I just wanted to share that things are around, so we're not far from what you were thinking

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Cables, but sound can also be BT wireless, and mouse and Keyboard can be wireless)

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

It exists but as another commenter said it’s expensive. Once it becomes affordable I’ll 100% be going wireless for my data cables.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Power could also appear wireless if you have a drop floor and route the wires underneath the tower

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

And have the psu plug be on the bottom of the tower.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's possible. But there are no easy and affordable solutions for it at this point. Also getting those high refresh rates/fps would be hard.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The tower is probably just a fake with a mini-ITX hidden inside attached to a floor Outlet below it and wirelessly Miracasting to the ¹

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Invisible keyboards are the bomb.

OK, so that WASN'T just me! Or my bad eyes!

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Wtf dude its touch

You can’t see it? Only fools can’t see it ?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hats off to you sir

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You can't have HDMI cables, it will interfere with the Feng shui.

4 years ago | Likes 107 Dislikes 4

Use displayport it's better than hdmi...

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So do keyboards

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You spoiled youngin’s with HDMI. Back in the day we’re just excited to have composite RCA.

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Composite! Bah! In my day (on the Amiga) we had a VHF output that plugged into a TV.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I mean, I do remember have a switch to select between UHF & VHF. And also needing an adapter and a screwdriver to attach coax cable.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

HDMI? What do you take us for, chumps? Displayport or death!

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Don't start... My parents are building a home and my mom is insisting on batshit additions because it'll "help the feng shui"

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Simple changes for feng shui i can see. But if its stupid additions then its just stupid. Like arranging rooms or closets sure

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

She's also disappointed because none of her children will take her side on this. I'm so glad my siblings don't believe that garbage.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

IIRC feng shui is all about the flow of energy from your ancestors, so you should ask her if she's checked where the nearest graveyard is...

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

^replace children with "Chi energy" v

I still scream every time I see that!

At least she has safety glasses

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Ouch.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

What about Ivanka test tube or something

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's exactly the image I thought of when I saw this post.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

"If it's smells like chicken, you're holding it wrong" (I have such t-shirt, hail to Dave from Down Under)

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ow. Motherfucking. Ow. Even if its not plugged in it still makes me shudder

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Every gun is loaded, the hot part is always hot, etc.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not really supposed to be wearing a metal ring when working with exposed electronics either, as a precaution.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I've seen what happens when 7000 watts shorts through a metal wedding ring. Burnt the poor guy to the bone

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No one ever mentions the sink next to the bench where exposed electrical components are worked on.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

That's pretty normal. It is used to wash excess Flux off boards after soldering.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Some people are going to think you're trolling. I'm not one of them, but some people will. To them: it's fine once you dry it.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You need that sink to treat the frequent burn injuries.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

She's leaning the damn tip on the plastic video card slot as well... Don't forget to tin your tips!

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Was new to A/V intergration and had to solder microphones in a rediculously expensive conference table. Was trained with butane solder ->

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

But the guy i was working with today had an electric soldering iron. Grabbed it close to the tip like the gas and the pain didnt even ->

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Register for a few seconds, managed to dump it back in the cradle before going fetal on the floor. Hey didnt hurt the table & learned sumthn

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Worked in a machine shop. Stock photographer and model came in. They took pictures of him using a micrometer measuring a nail head.

4 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Well? How wide or thick was it?

4 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

I did that once. Almost dropped a hot soldering iron but was able to grasp it at the last second. The hot metal “stuck” to my skin.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I wouldn’t be surprised if it was one of the office workers posing for the monthly magazine.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Smells like chicken

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

"can you pose for this photo with a soldering iron?" "sure but I've never used one" "me neither I'm sure it's fine"

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Where's this burnt sausage smell coming from?

4 years ago | Likes 88 Dislikes 0

What is the issue here?

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

The metal part of soldering irons gets very hot when it is actually plugged in.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I jumped and swore when I saw this one.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Never quite understood how people can use THOSE soldering irons for anything but welding pipes... I swear on my TS80P USB-C Soldering Iron ¹

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

literally the size of a pen and portable AF when hooked to a USB-C PowerBank.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I sat my soldering iron on the edge of my table one day while I was soldering, it fell and my lightning fast reflex's caught the hot part

4 years ago | Likes 58 Dislikes 0

I've done that with a scalpel, except y'know the sharp part rather than a hot part.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

It burnt the shit out of my hand, but I was low key impressed that I caught it

4 years ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 0

When I was 5 my I watched my older brother soldering. He went to the toilete and told me not to touch the tip of the soldering iron....

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Wow I have done that exact same thing. I feel your pain.

4 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Literally !

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

In 8th grade metal shop I was brazing a part, turned off the torch, put it down and picked up the part bare handed... massive palm burns!

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Reflexes*

4 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

Maybe he got his reflex from his friend lightning

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

I have done that too, was falling in my lap. Burnt the shit out of my hand.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Once my buddy was saughtering on his bar table for some fucking reason, I walked by him and tripped caught myself looked to my right 1/2

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Iron burnt a two sided hole in my sleeve and I barely got away unscathed.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

A two sided hole you say???

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Hahaha four sided I hole i suppose. Good catch

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

4 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

Somebody else’s foot. Right? … right?

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Her one leg missed the pool when jumping in from the 10m board

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

True?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's her own foot, but she's not actually looking at it, it's behind her, look where her shoulder is.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

So, her belly is facing the bottom of the pool?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ye.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Still love that one. Holding the hot part, no solder in sight, no components, no flux, no nothing lol

4 years ago | Likes 233 Dislikes 0

...no test equipment...

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Right up against tge plastic PCIe slot which would mysteriously cease all function.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

But she has goggles! Safety first

4 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Gotta get that stock photo.

4 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

Is that surface even ESD safe?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I had to read this to know what the joke was, lol.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Soldering on the wrong side of the board too

4 years ago | Likes 66 Dislikes 2

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That depends tbh, there is surface soldered components too

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

Board also not on an anti static pad either. Really is an image that gets worse the more details you find.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Motherboards don't need anti-static pads, you can just connect to any GND on it. Active components you take off however, do need one.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

No fume extraction anywhere in sight.

4 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

The glass window behind her is actually probably the fume extraction chamber for the science lab.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oh it’s there. Why else is she holding that soldering iron like that.

4 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

And she's in a work environment with a ring on, just plethora of bad decisions here

4 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 0

Also it looks like she's in a Lab setting and not a Computer Lab setting. She's in the wrong department.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Why is the ring bad?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Machinery could catch it, and you'd end up with a "degloving" incident.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Working with dangerous machines/materials. Ring could get stuck on something or warped, etc. Safety standards
