Great Unclean One. Progression pictures.

I absolutely adore this sculpt from Forge World. He's a solid block of resin and could do some serious damage if you dropped him on your toe!

First step was a prime/base coat. Used Army Painters "Barbarian Flesh."

A healthy slathering of Riekland Fleshshade.

Added highlights from the top down, and lowlights from the bottom up. Being mostly skin, the majority of the model is actually done.

Base coating details. Teeth, gums, eyes, tongue and guts.

Highlights added in. Painted it a ribbed texture on the intestines. And hunted down every last maggot hidden on me. There is a lot. Lol.

God I hate yellow paint. Getting it solid and then dirty in up the finally clean yellow basecoat hurt my soul a little. Slipped some crimson wash into the sores, easy and effective.

Spine.

Particularly happy with the rust effects on the sword. Super easy to overdo it. Took much restraint to stop when it looked right.

First attempt at wet blending on the boils. A success.

Ready to spread the Grandfather's Gifts.

Bless you

I've always been under the impression that there's something........wrong, with Nurgle players. (Wonderful art btw)

This is awesome. I only just started painting 6 weeks ago and hope to be able to get this good!

Yours is better than mine when I started. Just takes some practice and willingness to try new things and fail. You can always repaint.

Thanks, I think I'm worried about making mistakes and that's what's stopping me learning more.
