Beautiful boy

This was the day we picked him up from the rescue
UPDATE:
We have him back!! He jumped out of his captors van in a Walmart parking lot and found a nice woman. She watched his escape and saw the man who had him, and thought something seemed off. He no longer had his collar with the tags, so she searched Craigslist and found our ad. He's home, happy and healthy! Now to ensure he can't jump the fence ever again.

Happy boy

Silly

Looking out the window

Crated just before we left

This is the last picture we took. We had started using cable ties to keep the door securely locked, as he had opened it in the past. This time he broke to door off, jumped our 6' fence, and wandered. We were gone 40 minutes. We were later notified by a good Samaritan he was taken by a Hispanic man in a gold van.

To the fp!

Sorry for your loss. But seriously why did you think cable ties would keep a such a dog in if he had broken it before.

If I find that man, you get the dog, and the man's head stuffed on a plaque

If anyone in the area sees a metallic gold van with a busted headlight, please contact the Wheat Ridge police department. Case open

So sorry to hear that. I'd try to get some info from law enforcement of any problems with dog fighting in your area and get them to step up

Hope he turns up OP. It's the not knowing that can be the worst. Our cat turned up at the vet after being missing for five days. 1/1

We're very afraid he was taken for fighting and are heartbroken.

I hope, hope, hope, hope that the man took him w/the intention of getting him reunited with his owners. I've picked up loose dogs & done so.

Have hope! Was he chipped? If so you can track him!

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

He was. Have notified the chip company, and the police know the number as well. Wish there was active GPS in that thing.

That's not really stolen though.

Well what the fuck is it then? Borrowed?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 6

Happens all the time.

OP negligently failed to secure it, and someone saved it from getting hit in the street. it will probably show up at the shelter.

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

I hope he shows up. That's not the same thing as stolen though.

Did you read the whole thing?

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 4

The part where OP loosely secured the door with cable ties knowing the dog has escaped, and someone picked him up instead of him getting hit

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Yep! The dog got out and someone picked him up. That's not stealing. He might be at a shelter now!
