Biggest Great White Shark Caught On Camera

Filmed near Mexico's Guadalupe Island in 2013. She was pregnant, measured 6 meters and thought to be 50-years-old. They named her Deep Blue.

That's 19.69 feet for the us Americans.

Anybody have a banana for scale?

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Why is that guy outside the cage?

9 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 0

HWS don't eat people, the only time they attack is where people are mistaken for food. and in this case the humans don't spartle like a seal

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Whom is out holding the camera?

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

Because 99.9% of the time sharks don't give a shit about us.

9 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 0

there would be brown water in the cage

9 years ago | Likes 127 Dislikes 1

Either that or the water got slightly warmer around that area...

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

You'd be in a wetsuit. It would just be you swimming in a shit bag floating in a cage

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He's got the right idea, he wore the brown scuba suit!

This is why no one will remember your name.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's fine. Rather be alive and nobody than awesome but shark shit.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sir I assume you don't even praise the sun.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oh I do. And I love fishing in the mountains. But Norwegian fauna don't really offer any danger.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

True story: this is found footage. She killed everyone there, then pulled down the dive boat and ate it. Then gave birth to a Sharknado.

That one dude on the cage, and his friends probably like:

Was just about to ask for video

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nice. Thanks.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

When she gives birth, I hope someone is there to start telling 'yo mamma so fat' jokes to her little sharklettes.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I would have named her "I'm shitting bricks"

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That's a submarine dressed as a shark.

This comment is perfection

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Good to know some people appreciate my genius...

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Also caught on camera were the largest set of balls. Re:that dude outside the cage.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Aww, they're cute when pregnant

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I just made a lot of whimpering noises and got goosebumps. I'm usually okay with this stuff. Damn.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Everytime I see this I think... Whos recording that.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Camera on a pole.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is why I don't go in the waters in ark survival.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Good God! I thought meglodons were extinct.

9 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

Meglodons died out only 2.6 Mya.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

She is huge, but compared to a Megladon, she is and excuse the pun, small fish.

9 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

Meglodons may have grown to 18m... 3 TIMES as big as Deep Blue.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

for some reason, i'm scared to death of sharks (and this video), but i'm FASCINATED by megalodon.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It was a joke but still that thing is fucking massive.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Size of a small whale

9 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

Like a baby whale

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

a small whale would be a meal to this bitch.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Bout the size of my sister when she was pregnant.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

It's amazing, they look so sleek and graceful from far, but are absolutely terrifying when faced head on.

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I think they're probably more terrifying when you can't find you torso

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Sharks have remained pretty much unchanged over millions of years. Nature found a killing recipe that works.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

What a beautiful Animal

9 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

She is magnificent.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Seriously. Awesome creatures.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

That's ok I don't ever need to go in the ocean again

9 years ago | Likes 1117 Dislikes 5

Too much dangerous shit. I'm never going in one, if I can help it.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, we are. Screw Steven, he ate my sandwich.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ypu should totally watch the Shallows. Don't read anything about it first tho, don't want to spoil anything about it.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

It was really eh...I think it was kinda hyped up a little but but that actress was marvelous.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This did it, and not the bobbit worm post the other day?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

With a name like that Samuel L. Jackson is the one thats never going in the ocean again

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

This is so under-upvoted.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Just get a bigger boat and you'll be fine.

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

They're actually super gentle and cuddly. I had several growing up, but we had to put them down because they ate my sister.

9 years ago | Likes 101 Dislikes 1

They are actually frolicking on a farm right now.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I think I laughed out my liver when I read this.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Ever seen the Australian news casters reacting to great whites? https://youtu.be/ScELODSs6T0

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

That was my exact reaction... Well minus the accent.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

HahahahahahHHa omggggg so perfect

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Stuff summer. Ha!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I an never going back in the water. Never again. Stuff summer. I'm so done

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's okay. Sharks don't eat people. Much.

9 years ago | Likes 139 Dislikes 0

Riiiight, like how "fish are friends not food"?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oh come on. Golden opportunity. "Mostly."

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's okay. Sharks don't eat people. *munch*

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Like as in they don't eat much people or they don't eat much of the people they do eat?

9 years ago | Likes 45 Dislikes 0

Yes.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Depends on the shark, Great Whites like this don't tend to eat people at all, now Tiger Sharks and Bull Sharks, that's a bit different

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

They got the munchies that all humans could satisfy.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Both.

9 years ago | Likes 44 Dislikes 1

That actually makes a lot of sense

9 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

Think we're seals or something, bite into and hate the taste of us.

9 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

You should play Subnautica, it'll multiply that fear by 100.

9 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

Had to refund it after 20 minutes. I don't have fears, but found out I have a very large fear of deep water...

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I love Subnautica but playing it makes me more terrified then any horror game.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I almost shit myself when I ran into my first Reaper Leviathan. It didn't help that it snuck up on me.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Oh god! Same. I started a new game the other day and went into the Aurora and came back out. My life pod had floated all the way out (1/2)

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

To where there were 3 Reapers Leviathans. I said NOPE! It's a known bug though. Hoping they fix it. (2/2)

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Cheese and crackers that's a big shark

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Sweet baby Cheesus!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

+1 for cheese and crackers

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Cheesus crust!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Dunno if this is an unpopular opinion, but I think that's an absolutely gorgeous creature.

9 years ago | Likes 574 Dislikes 12

Terrifyingly beautiful

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I friggen love sharks, she is a beauty and massive

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I know it's beautiful!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Fucking love sharks, not that unpopular I think!

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

They are stunning animals

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That was the first thing I thought while watching this

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They have to be the best part of the ocean. To bad their numbers are so low now.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We should appreciate more dangerous yet beautiful creatures. They're so feared, we forget that they can have offspring of their own.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Beautiful animals Sharks are. Also all the different types of Whales in the ocean are amazingly interesting&beautiful. Certain Whales elusive

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I don't think that's an unpopular opinion. Most people do fine them attractive. But most people like living so

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Agreed.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I am right there with you my fellow crazy fish loving bastard

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They haven't had to evolve for a few million years because they're perfect killing machines. Beautiful, but I'll keep my distance.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Great Whites a majestic creatures. By far my favorite shark.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Same

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Stunning. But I am staying on my side of the waterline when she's around. SWEET JEBAS she's death incarnate.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have been obsessed with sharks since I first saw pictures of them, their majesty is seriously underrated.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sharkaddicts have an amazing instagram

9 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 0

Thanks for the heads up! Will definitely check it out

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Looked them up, don't like that they post personal crap between sharks

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No that's an entirely normal opinion. Sharkfucker. That was meant as an insult, but in retrospect, it'd be kinda hardcore in a weird way.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Scary, but absolutely stunning.

9 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

Exactly my thoughts.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Bootiful

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Stunning. <3

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Beautifully majestic.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Are we ignoring the person outside the cage?

9 years ago | Likes 465 Dislikes 4

Balls made of solid adamantium. He requires no weight belt when scuba diving.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I mean, the shark did. so they mustn't be important.

9 years ago | Likes 254 Dislikes 1

9 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

Preeeeeety sure if it wanted ya.. it would have had ya...

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As long as they didn't chum the water then she won't attack unless provoked

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

often times people playing in water or panicking are mistaken for seal pups/ other prey trying to escape.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

He thought about reaching out and touching it

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I am not.

9 years ago | Likes 45 Dislikes 0

What person? All I saw was the biggest set of balls in a wet suit swimming with the biggest great white.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes... yes we are. Their fault for staying outside

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Despite the massive size of that shark, it is clearly overshadowed by the size of that doods balls

9 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 0

The ocean got warm all of a sudden

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I assumed it'd be best to remain completely still in that situation. But that brass-balled dude was like "nope let me check out this babe"

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I believe we found Steve Irwin's soul reincarnated...

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That guy had the best seat in the house imo

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

And the guy filming this ?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm surprised he was able to swim despite the weight of his giant titanium balls.....

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

How can they dive with balls that large???

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

he's the professional tour guide who shit all over himself in that wersuit

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Balls of steel.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You don't think a 50 year old shark that's 6 meters long cares about a cage?

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Because their teeth are made of adamantium at that point or what?

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Jaw pressure. She could have them if she wanted, but sharks don't really eat people.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And the shark vagina?

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Totally noticed that too

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Looks like SLJ

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

If the shark wanted to eat people it would just eat the cage and the boat attached to it.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Sharks don't like scuba tanks, gives them gas

9 years ago | Likes 86 Dislikes 0

GAS, CORAL!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I just snorted at my desk. Thanks

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Funniest comment this month!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Great Whites have little desire to eat people. The only times they do are by accident thinking the person was a seal.

9 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

What if she had poor eyesight? She's fucking magnificent, but I lack the balls to try it.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Or they are curious, kinda likes babies.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Right. They can sample the nutrients something has with just a nibble. Unfortunately their "nibble" is strong enough to server a limb

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You obviously have not seen Jaws.

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Jesus I only saw him after you pointed it out. Assuming the jets of water are putting the Shark off? Either way, balls of steel

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 2

No jets of water, just an understanding of shark behavior & aforementioned steel ballast.

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Basically this, a shark's unlikely to take a piece out of you in that situation. 'Course that's one hell of an odds game, y'know?

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

What about the guy filming this? Where do you think he is?

9 years ago | Likes 43 Dislikes 8

Thats a very good point.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 7

Another cage

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Slowly hitting the bottom of the ocean dragged by his massive balls

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

In heaven

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Maybe another shark filmed it.

9 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

I chortled. +1 :)

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's quite an experience diving with them, I'll definitely be doing it again

9 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

I've always been scared shitless of them from when I was young but one day I do plan to get over that and go diving with them. Fuuuck.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Aw man that sounds awesome.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Going next month, sooo excited.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nice! May I ask where you're doing the dive?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Near Stuart island in New Zealand. Where did you go?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Neptune Islands in South Australia, near Port Lincoln. I didn't know there were great white tours in NZ, I might do that next time I go

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Lucky bastard:)

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Very. Best to keep all limbs inside the cage at all times!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Very. Best to keep all limbs inside the cage at all times!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yea no need to aim for the Darwin's Award:D

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Definitely not! Here's one of the glorious bastards from my trip - the biggest we had was a little over 5m

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

At that size that glorious bastard was more probably a magnificent bitch.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0
