With Halloween so close around the corner, I thought I'd share a ton of extra sample hunts from my PDF supplement "100 Monster Hunts" (13 in total!) for free, spread out from levels 3 up to 20 for use in your games!

Thank you all so much for your support - Have fun, and may all your rolls be 20!

For those of you that didn't see the original post, here is the description:

"I've been hard at work on the release of a new supplement for Dungeons and Dragons to help out DMs looking to add quick bounty missions to taverns, Inns and other places their players might end up.
I've lost count of the amount of times my players have wandered off the beaten track looking for gold only for me to have to hurriedly come up with ideas on the fly, so I've made a ton of random tables and bounties a DM can roll on to just make their life easier."

If you wanna check it out the full supplement in more detail, or fancy a Halloween one shot horror adventure, they're both available now on the Dmsguild!

I don't see how this is Witcher style, it's just random encounters with more fluff

100 hunts? I only see 20. Where are the other 80?

7 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 8

You have to buy it to see the rest.

Is there any way to play DnD without friends who play? Cause none of mine do. Any online thing? Or an app?

7 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

I never understand comments like this. D&D is the only reason I have friends.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I use roll20, as my party is scattered over the UK. There is also Fantasy Grounds, which 100 Monster Hunts also has a module for.

Roll20 is your best option. Other options includes slowly, insidiously, turning your friends towards the dark worship of our lord Satan.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I've been at the latter for years but turns out Satan worship doesn't automatically generate an interest in Dn sadly. Roll20 it is!

Look for game or comic book stores and see if they have D&D groups. I've made plenty of new friends just going to local shops to play.

Commenting as I to want to know this

Roll20, although you may also look into D&D Adventurer's League to see if there's any locations hosting games.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Adventures league is changing how everything is done. Will have to see what happens

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, almost everyone suggested Roll20. Will check out adventurer's league as well. Thanks!

There's an online service called Roll20 that has open RPG parties who need people to play or DM online sessions! It's free to play!

7 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

This is what my group uses to play! It works great so long as you use discord or w/e instead of Roll20's crap voice chat

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Roll20 has always been kinda of a horde of players, itty bitty dms

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

roll20 is brilliant!

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I have yet to try it myself, but my friends have good thinfs to say about it.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Awesome! I'm going to check it out right away. Thanks:D

No idea why you're getting downvoted when this post was basically an ad for an rpg product to begin with. Seriously, it's exactly what's on-

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

-the product page it links to. A $5 pdf with a few more pages of this same style of content.

I got this and ran one of the hunts. Overly easy for my group. We will do another hunt today. I'm hoping that might be a challenge.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I really wish the hunts were in order of level. I don't like flipping all around the PDF to try and find the various ones in a level range.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Also, which hunt did you run? It's really useful to get feedback on the hunts so I can make them better in the future.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Version 2.0 has 9 random tables now organised by level & page references for each hunt. Check your DMsguild library for the updated copy :)

3x LVL 7s took out the Hydra with minor injuries. They did the Treant one peacefully today.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Wow, impressive! By all accounts the Hydra combat should've been a hard encounter. Were your PCs fully rested? That could explain it. /1

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They had one enc before, a giant scorpion and several rot grubs. The maggots nearly killed someone. More of threat than the Hydra. WTF?

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

How did you as DM find the Treant encounter? I'm quite surprised the PCs found a peaceful way to settle it, that's great! /2

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

While I was setting up the map I found a cool purple tree token. I played it that this Treant was guarding a Fey Cherry Tree that was . . .
