The vicinity of the J. Edgar Hoover building might not be the best place to do anything recklessly. Especially driving.

For all we know, the police car just did the same and is not going to chase that taxi

lol the cynicism

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Ughhh! Double standards! Amirite?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

Nope. The first car blocked a cyclist. The police car didn't.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Uhh the joke was supposed to be that the cop car is crossing the double lines too, nvm lol

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

Poor joke.

FBI police?

9 years ago | Likes 70 Dislikes 0

Yup

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yup Pennsylvania between the capital and the white house. Like 5 different police have jurisdiction there including the FBI

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Probably the police that guard their buildings/campus.

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Definitely the police that guard FBI facilities

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

DC bruh we got police for everything

9 years ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 0

My favorite are the metro police paddywagons.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

FBI need policing too. (Their like the Military Police...)

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

As a dane, the placement of the bike lane hurts me... God dammit, put it on the side of the road, not in the middle!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And raise it for gods sake! So cars won't drive on it

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

How do you make left turns then?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They of course end/are lowered, where you should make left turn, right turns etc.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If you're on the far right side of the street how do you make a left turn without cutting across the intersection?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You'll cross-ish the intersection, and then you'll turn your bike to cross the intersection again, facing the Way you want to go!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Makes sense I guess. Idk, I'm just used to acting like a car I guess. Cool to see how other countries do stuff

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

In my state they are on the side of the road. They aren't raised though.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Look at the bike lanes in Denmark, they work amazingly, and Will wreck a cars suspension/wheels, if they drive onto the bike lanes

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Unfortunately in the US we have so many roads that adding bike lanes to all like that would be astronomically expensive.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I get that, i really do.. But it'll save even more in damage and loss of work, from potential accidents with bikes/roadrage

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Which is why most folks drive cars here in the US rather than take that risk. Many cyclists not following rules only complicates it.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

How did they not see the cop car right behind them?

9 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 1

Or the bike lane or the cyclist. The driver seems generally un observent

9 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 0

I think the driver didn't care. Taxi drivers tend to be more concerned with their fares than the rules of the road. Source: I'm a driver.

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Note: I'm not an asshole that only cares about his fares. I care about safety first.

I drive a 44 ton truck. Its amazing how people miss something that flipping big!

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

People generally have a perception that because it's big, it's slow. I have however seen someone pull in front of a truck and get plowed..

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

They also seem to be unaware of the fact that 44 tonnes CANT STOP IF YOU PULL OUT IN FRONT OF ME YOU IDIOT

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yup. People are STUPID
