What kind of store gives its staff the time to do this? Are they hiring?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Stores receive diagrams for how to arrange these... hell, someone probably wrote a program to turn any image into display art like this.

You had thirty jobs, and you ignored 29 of them to nail this

8bit Mario and 8bit Luigi are supposed to be the same size though...

This fucker needs a raise.

They are easy to set up, usually 4 guys build them and it's all mapped out for you with what goes where, I used to do it for pepsi.

I swear nobody take one of those boxes

Now let's see Paul Allen's soda wall.

This is a cut out you assemble and is shipped as advertising to the store. if you see it, go touch it and you'll see it's not really soda.

I work for coke and I've helped build displays like this. It's really a pain in the ass. Especially when you run out of a product and (1/2)

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

A manager gets a ladder to 2 12 packs off the top of your display rather than sell the person a 24 pack that is a better deal.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Better than a dumbass customer climbing on it to pull 12 packs off. Happened in a few of my accounts

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

These displays are usually empty boxes put together with a promotional diagram. Still cool and satisfying, though.

Always look for and upvote this coment when people post this

Maybe one that size, but in my store I've watched the guys build them. And watched the customers pull out 12 packs and ruin them.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

They used to be like what you're describing and now they are all cut outs because someone got hurt. Stacking real soda is a safety hazard.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I built displays for Pepsi for 3.5 years and they are never empty boxes.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

How high, because most full-box displays I've seen are never very tall.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Tallest I built were ~12ft. We used 24 packs as the bases and everything gets taped together. I've seen taller ones but all had soda

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What year-ish, because that's a significant safety hazard even when taped. Bludgeoning Jenga and reckless kids.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As of last year. The coke and 7 up guys all used full cases to build their displays as well. And every single 12 pack is taped together

Is Canada dry sold in the USA? hmmm.. I'll ask the poutine gods, see if they know what's going on

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 3

Yep, as a grocery store manager when we need them to deliver more we call Canada Dry/Polar

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yup. I have some in my fridge right now. I'm in Illinois

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I had always assumed it was only available in Canada, but I just looked it up and apparently you can get it pretty much anywhere on Earth.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

That's because Canada isn't actually real.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

But, if Canada's not real,..... am I real?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well, I mean, I guess you're in North Mexico.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nope.
