This chaos won't last forever.

For officers, not the enlisted.

"This chaos won't last forever." Actually, it will. Trumpism is very ingrained into America now. Remember, the US Civil War technically ended 160 years ago yet it and its causal sentiments still simmer and flare to this day. Trumpism allowed the tendrils to deeply and inextricably penetrate the organs of the state and society writ large; they will continue to metastasize and irritate until the fall of America.

Also, could not bring up what America did to American Indians---went so far as to take back Indian Campaign medals.

Many of those got away whit "I was following orders" when the orders were same as allies gave. Like bombing cities.

It won't last for ever, sure but last time it was about 10 years and many, many millions dead.

Tried pointing this out to my mom talking about the vietnam war and said "Well they threatened their families, I bet you'd spit on vets!" Sure, Jan.

Vets who commit war crimes and follow illegal orders deserve a lot worse than being spat on.

remember that nazijudge roland freisler was not between those other nazis, because he died from an airstrike 1945. so if you are a member of the supreme court, i would recommend you to plan your death by airstrike early, otherwise you will be hanged like the other nazi traitors!

I've said it before and I'll say it again...I'd rather be dead than become a nazi. I will go down fighting, and I'm happy to do so. Not for my country, but for the people. The people who keep this country running and 100% deserve to be here.

#1 someone should tell Pete Hegseth this EVERY SINGLE DAY,

He's banking on seizing the courts before anyone can take him to court. That's what fascism always does.

I take comfort in the fact that's even tho this is happening. The people doing it are fucking morons and if it's going to happen this is the best way for it to happen, giving us the best chance to over come it vs if it was intelligent schemers who did this exact thing over a 10 year period vs trump speed running it through this year

While I can agree with the sentiment, it can be a double edged sword. What if the soldier truly didn’t want to commit the act but was just following orders? History tells us that insubordinates, defectors, and traitors were hanged as punishment, so the soldier may obey out of fear. Either refuse and risk death, or commit and risk arrest for war crimes.

Honestly I think your comment says a lot more about you than I think you meant it to.
I know, for me, the choice you presented in that last sentence as if it was some sort of dilemma, would be resolved in a fraction of a second.
If the punishment for not committing a war crime is death then I will walk to the gallows with my head held high knowing I am better than every single cunt who tried me.

Very easy for you to say behind a keyboard without a gun pointed to your head.

Fuck off. I know my own mind.

You are an amoral coward if you would murder people just to save your own worthless life.

"what was I supposed to do, your honor, find another job that didn't involve killing people willy nilly? That's so inconvenient and unfair. I won't give up my place in life so some human rights will stop being violated."

And people are still defending Graham Platner despite him showing no remorse. In fact he seems proud of being a murderous piece of shit.

I’ll never forget the first school I worked at was terrible. Collective punishment and verbal abuse were encouraged, rough place. One of the kids asked why I did something and I said “well that’s the way principle *redacted* wanted it done” and the kid goes “that’s what the nazis said” and I was floored. Anywho I didn’t work there much longer and went back to school to learn to teach properly, not with fear and abuse

Sounds like *Principal *redacted* had no principles.
