I wish I could play an Obsidian fallout game with other people.

Funny, was just saying this to my SO. Would love for her and I to be able to play FO4 together. I will not be purchasing 76.

What really fucked them up is the fact that they didn't get a proper QA to get the kinks out. Shipping a beta 2 weeks before didn't help.

6 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

So you like the lore, story telling and world of Fallout and want to play it with friends? Lets remove all those things and make it pvp game

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

*Laughs in Bethesda*

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

I always wanted an MMO version of Tactics

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

note, he wants to play fallout, NOT 76, would you play skyrim or fallout, when friend controls one of your companions? ofc you would

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I still enjoy Fallout 76. You all waste so much energy on disliking the most mundane shit. Must be nice to have so little to worry about.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Like milk you find behind the cat.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I still do want to play Fallout and Elder Scrolls with other people but co-op not arena style PvP.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's a good game. People played it for 30 minutes and gave up.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Would be nice if Subnautica could have been co-op, or hopefully a future new game by the creators will be so like that

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I have always felt that subnautica was missing something, but i am not so sure that it's co-op.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Fallout 3 was originally supposed to have something called "Play With a Friend" back when it went by "Van Buren", before Bethesda got it.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not an idiot your instructions just weren’t clear to Bethesda. What they heard: fuck everything up and pretend it’s working

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

They tried to go full DayZ and seven days to die, when they should instead have gone divinity original sin co-op or swtor.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's an awesome idea, Bethesda, as always, went about it in the worst way possible.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well both yes and no, they have managed to hit the nail strait on the head a few times.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I just wanted to be able to traverse the commonwealth or Mojave with a friend and do all the stuff I was already doing.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

How did they mess up that badly?

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Honestly? Game's fun so long as you don't mind base fallout 4. Buggy as fuck, questionably balanced, but that's everything on Gamebryo.

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Base fallout 4 being a shallow, poorly written mess doesn't help this much. Bethesda aren't very good at Fallout.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 4

I wish I could play fallout or Skyrim the way Borderlands does multiplayer

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Same but with divinity or swtor's dialogue system where the other player can join in on conversations with npcs and quest givers.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I heard as of 2 months ago the game is really fun, I am currently awaiting for it to go on sale again to try it now.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

Who'd you hear that from, Todd Howard?

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

My friends who actually played the game.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

People wanted a fallout where they could play content with friends. Not a fallout themed open world pvp sandbox.

6 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 1

Can even go as far as to call it a fallout Theme park rather then a actuall fallout game.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I would only want to play coop with friends, no other multiplayer

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I wish i could play Fallout without other people. (maybe we can still reverse this spell!)

6 years ago | Likes 76 Dislikes 1

Granted, you now get to play fallout 76 singleplayer. All guns have been taken out because they're useless anyways.

6 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

It was a nice idea, it's not the FB poster's fault Bethesda comprehensively fucked up the execution.

6 years ago | Likes 545 Dislikes 7

Your use of "comprehensively" is so very accurate.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Trying to make a persistent online world run on a game engine framework over 20 years old doesn't help either.

6 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 1

Don’t forget rushing it by a solid two years (and cutting fallout 4’s dlcs short, I suspect)

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

it is his fault, for using the monkeys paw

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

No it’s not. Isolation itself makes Fallout fun. Same as BotW and others. It makes it scarier and there’s better escapism solo.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

All we wanted is to play with 1 friend, run around and enjoy some good quests... Nobody asked for this shitshow!

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Yea coop with 3 friends would have been fine

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

ESO started off shitty, but luckily Zenimax got that shit sorted into something enjoyable.

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

ESO is my favorite game and i pay for ESO+ but i always feel stupid for that bc the performance and lag in that game is downright awful

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I've only had a few instances of serious lag, but I constantly encounter issues where my Orc won't do power swings w/her sword.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah a co-op mode would be fun in any fallout/elders scrolls game. But not forced gta style multiplayer. Just a game mode to fuck around in.

6 years ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 3

Co op would be great in fallout.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Remember when games could have a multiplayer mode without having to nickel and dime you for everything youre worth?

6 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

"we were surprised that people didn't want to pvp in a fallout game" - bethesda...which shows how out of touch they are. wanted co op pve

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

To be fair it is mostly coop pve.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Far from it, coop doesnt have you server hopping to find resources you need, or doing a mission and someone comes to kill the mob and leaves

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nor sure how anyone could think a fallout game in a multyplayer would work. You know nothing really changes in a multy right?

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

except in co-op i get to enjoy it with family and friends. pvp is not needed unless we plan to screw around.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yes this, instead we got a game where strangers can hear me eat potato chips while I look at a terminal. I rather that be limited to friends

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I actually really enjoyed 76 for a while, but I knew what I was getting into. I expected a sandbox with very little story and interaction..

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Right, I'm annoyed they lied about 76 being a fun single player experience, but I had a lot of fun with my friends as low-tier raiders

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I enjoyed it until they patched the infinite carry weight exploit. Then I realized I had 3000 pounds of important stuff and 500 of storage.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I enjoyed it until they let you pay for infinite carry weight. Then it became pay-to-win. Defended it right up until then.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I just loved that it was one shit show after another with Bethesda. It became comical with how many mistakes they could make in a row

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well the game was great after the first update. I enjoyed playing fallout with my wife. But after the subscription... noooooope.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He said WITH other people, not AGAINST other people. He is not to blame.

6 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

True that but then they would have to let the other player join in on dialgues with the npcs like in divinty original sin.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Otherwise he would just stand there wait and watch for you to finish your dialgues all day.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

YES this is the thing game companies fail to understand, we want these massive RPG epics that we can join and help our friends with. 1/?

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Skyrim, Fallout, where you can have your completely unique builds, team work against an encampment or objective. 2/2

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Borderlands, multiplayer, but only in small groups. Not 700 people trying to achieve the same objective on a single server, in a single game

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Exactly, 2-4 friends teamworking towards a big end goal.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Plot twist — that is Todd Howard’s FB page

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Well he meant fallout 4 with a friend (co-op) which would be cool!

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

any survival with a coop without the pvp bs

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It could work story wise too just have the other player pay as the spouse or one of the other frozen neighbors.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Exactly! But as a pvp not so much. It’s cool to think it would be but come on, with lag and bad collision for performance it would be a mess

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The idea wasn't bad, but they forgot who makes it, why was anyone surprised a game that needs mods to be stable, is a disaster as an MMO

6 years ago | Likes 62 Dislikes 3

Fallout as muly makes no sense. It negates alle the strenghts of the game.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No wonder, it's using the same engine as Skyrim, Fallout 4... But...GOOD NEWS EVERYONE! ELDER SCROLLS 6 WILL ALSO USE IT!

6 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

Means the mods will be patched to it quick.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Only some leading programmers work continually from the start of the Creation Engine, some parts of it have Gamebryo code glitches, oddly.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

We gonna buy it 4 times over like thirsty bitches too.

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I will be waiting until the reviews roll in first.

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I'll consider downloading it when Unofficial Patch hits 40th update. I wholeheartedly admit never buying Beth stuff since Morrowind.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

they can call the engine whatever they want, its the same mess they've been using since Morrowind

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Pretty sure everyone just wanted fallout normal but with 2-4 coop.

6 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 1

This exactly. Fallout 4 plus friends

6 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 2

New Vegas with friends, cause we got standards here!

6 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 4

Typically i'd agree as I love New Vegas, but I love base building so much, that shit is my kink.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

NV would only have worked with co op if they did it like divinty original sin did it, where the other player can join in on dialogues.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Also skill checked for the other player with skills they lacked.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Other wise he would just heng around and wait for the other player to finish their dialogues with the npcs all day.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It could have been good, if they just made it co-op instead of making some weird pvp-ish thing without amy human npcs. Or you know... QA...

6 years ago | Likes 243 Dislikes 6

This. Feel the same about TES. A 2 player co-op was all it needed.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Co op but I’d be ok with them having pvp if it was just like a thunder dome

6 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

It is fine to just make the whole place RS wilderness. But NPCs are much needed and so is actual quality

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Bethesda's policy of "We'll let the modders QA/fix our games" really came back to bite them in the ass.

6 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 1

Worked since Daggerfall, but as the engine got more clusterfuck of numerous unorganized programmers work, it's a mine field.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yep. I don't think they realized how vital that was for them until they released a game that didn't really have mod support.

6 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

Literally all I wanted was Co-op. I wanted to wander the wastes with a companion I could actually stand.

6 years ago | Likes 118 Dislikes 1

Yup. I literally just wanted co-op Fallout.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Should have made it like Divinty original sin, where you could co op and the other player could join on dialogues.

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

They probably thought human players would replace NPCs. Everywhere you explore just feels so dull cause no NPCs to interact with.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, and now with the wastelanders patch it becomes clear that it wasn't actually a design choice, they just werem't done making the NPCs.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh nice. Glad they decided to work on the issue. Will be interesting to see how that turns out.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They could have just gone MMO route and it would have been much better.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Nah. We didn't want an MMO. We've seen how the elder scrolls MMO works and how they'll retcon lore just to add dragon mobs. Don't want them

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

to retcon anything from Fallout to justify interesting MMO content.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The elder scrolls online is fun imo

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It is, it's just not what you'd expect from an Elder Scrolls game.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Literally that's all everyone ever wanted. Co-op for both elder scrolls and fallout. But they cannot monetize that.

6 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 1

But.. there is elder scrolls online. Or is it not what you want? If I wasn't so addicted to my ps4 at the moment I would play ESO more often

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

ESO is not bad, but its not what everyone has been looking for. Its groundwork code is for a PvPMMO. Not a story driven TES RPG game.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

ESO is on the PS4...

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

ESO is on pc too. I play it only on pc.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ah, I gotcha. And yeah, it’s not worth grinding on both platforms. I still don’t have a cp810 and I’ve been playing for months.
