The World's End

Mar 26, 2017 12:40 AM

Watched the last of the Cornetto trilogy tonight again ("Shaun of the Dead" and "Hot Fuzz" being the other 2). Very under appreciated film.

SPACED. Watch spaced, it was their TV show before Shaun and is brilliant

This one gets me every time. I had a friend that was an alcoholic and it gets me in the feelz

I couldn't stand it. Just nonsensical.

"Fuck off, you big lamp!" Great movie.

Good shit right here.

Always upvote Rosamund Pike. Even as the psychotic from "Gone Girl."

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And the psychotic Bond girl...

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I did not even know this film existed.

When it took me until last thursday to finally watch hot fuzz for the first time

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This is one of my favorite movies!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Its the only one I've only seen once.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oh my God. It's not under appreciated you fuck. You haven't discovered some 'gem'

There was a lot to like, but the theme of men embracing their inner manchild has not aged well in the last few years.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's my favourite of the three, in all honesty. But I was a goff in the 90s so I empathise a little too much...

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I will now see if my particular combination of streaming options will present it forth.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Didn't he do another movie called "Run fat boy run" or something like that about being in a marathon/race?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The only reason it wasn't as good as the others as it missed the iconic line 'do you want anything from the shop?'

Sadly, compared to Shawn of the dead and Hot Fuzz it's a bit disappointing, but judge it alone it wasn't too bad.

"I Fucking know what I Fucking said!!"

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Surprisingly was my favorite film in the trilogy. All 3 were fantastic though.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Love Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead but I got nothing from this, anyone explain what I may be missing? PM to avoid spoilers for others plz

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'd say watch it again. I felt this one was even quicker with the cleverness, on repeat viewings I've laughed a lot harder and got more.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

This is my favorite of the three.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Your opinion is your opinion, but I LOVE the other two, and this one was so disappointing. Please explain how it's the best

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think he/she was just saying it was his/her favorite based upon personal feelings. Nothing about being the "best."

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Exactly. They other two are excellent, this is just my favorite.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I related a lot to Gary King. Not so much any of the other characters from the other two.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Not OP but I like it the best simply because I can relate a lot to the feeling of losing grip of youth etc. It's more than a comedy to me.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

This was my least favorite of the three. Though, it's the only one I've only seen once. Maybe time for a replay.

Ive seen it a couple times, it is clearly the worst of the three but I love them all.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

It's my least favorite of the three. I'd only give it a 98 out of 100.

Seconded. Still probably my least favorite of the three, but way better than most movies.

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Saying it's my least favorite of the three is like saying it's your least favorite child. You still love the shit out of it.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

...but I really hate Nathan

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Same for me on all three statements.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I was not expecting the twist

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I agree, the character reversal annoyed me. It was weird to see Nick Frost so composed and Simon Pegg as the bad influence.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Don't think your opinion will change after another watch, but may appreciate it a little more after another go. That's all I was saying.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Had my favorite movie quote at the end though.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Fuck off back to legoland!

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I usually watch whenever I feel like I had too much of the first two, but not enough Simon & Nick

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Definitely my favorite of the three. It started a yearly tradition of a golden mile in my city

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Easily my favourite. Hot fuzz being second.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What city

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not a good one to do it in. The most distance between pubs is like 3 blocks so it almost kills you.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Okay...I need to ask....The Cornetto Trilogy? Why am I seeing people calling these movies "The Cornetto Trilogy"? Is it because of the treat

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Shaun of the dead will always be my favorite of the three

9 years ago | Likes 71 Dislikes 2

I don't think you're alone in that. And by think I mean know because I agree fully

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

You've got red on you.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Unpopular opinion; Hot Fuzz was my favourite by a long stretch and is one of my favourite comedies of all time

9 years ago | Likes 39 Dislikes 0

That is not an unpopular opinion. Certainly not for ITV2 and the West Country (where I live), it's a religion here.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I liked hot fuzz more. Shaun of the dead started out breath and funny, but became less funny throughout. Fuzz kept building up

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Yeah I guess hot fuzz did do that. But Shaun of the Dead had absolute laugh out loud

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Only unpopular because everyone I have spoken to agrees with you that Sean of the Dead was the best

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Hot Fuzz was my Favorite too

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I could only watch SOTD once. It just isn't as re watchable as the other two in my opinion so there.. now you know.
