Visiting an Old Friend
I try my best to visit my brother every year. Unfortunately I was unable to do so last year because of unforeseen circumstances. My wife and I are good friends with his mother and are surprising her this year.
It always gets hard this time of year. This is why my wife and I drive 14 hours ( because I'm terrified of flying) to be with his mother on these days. He didn't pass fighting a battle in Afghanistan. Unfortunately he passed away at home before I could save him.
I just want to take this time for all of the love and support you guys are giving me. This is my first day to imgur and ya'll couldn't be any more supportive and for that I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I'd rather they didn't have to honestly. These aren't the days of fighting Nazi Germany. Ain't worth dying for. Just my two cents

Too many flags...

It may be a national cemetery.

I think it was a statement, not a question
TacticalFat
I kind of maybe thought that, too. But, national cemeteries will take almost all veterans. Chances are many of those flags are for vets 1/2

Who passed of old age or other non-combat related things.
