Charley Horse

This is little tiny baby Charley. He was 5 weeks old here and this was the first day we brought him home! He weighed 9.6lbs!

We considered naming him Dumbo

Snow day in Colorado!

I was hiding treats in snowballs and throwing them. He had SO much fun.

Play hard. Nap harder.

He didn't want to fully commit to getting off the bed to eat. We have since moved it because big breed dogs are prone to bloat and I didn't want to encourage him eating like this.

For those curious, Charley was born on July 10th 2020. He was the product of my friend's dog escaping and getting knocked up. We know the dad is a pure breed Great Dane and we think the mom is a Great Dane/Weimaraner mix. Charley came from a litter of 16 and the mom almost died after giving birth so my friend had to take over bottle feeding the babies. I started helping her when they were about 2 weeks old. Charley was the only blue boy who survived. The litter was split black and blue and my fiancee wanted a boy dog and I wanted a blue baby-luckily my friend let me have first pick! 13 of the original 16 survived after day 3 and then we found out 1 more passed away from parvo at about 8 weeks. Vaccinate your puppies and keep away from public places until fully vaccinated!! Anyway, Happy National Puppy Day!
