Love the writers of the expanse and their very antifa ideology.

Really good show.

The clinical term for poop eating is Coprophagy. You now know this. Take it into the world and share.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

That's not nearly as fun as "poop eating"

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Alt-right eat shit

4 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 1

It's either far-right or extreme-right. Dont give them the courtesy of letting them name themselves.

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

Hey now, YKINMK but that's okay. I'd rather kiss a poop-eater than a fascist.

I love her. She's my favorite character.

4 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

I liked the old scruffy pirate belter, great casting.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They kinda waster her in the last season.

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

I hear they’re actually drinking pee now

4 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

TBH alot if them probably already wanted to and now they have an excuse. Next big cures probably gonna be sleeping with relatives guaranteed

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

just a taint's distance away from the poop-eating

4 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I should watch/read the expanse. I hear good things

4 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

I tried, but couldn't get into it. I liked Miller, but after S2 I wasn't invested in anyone else's story, and Holden's actor is god awful.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Expanse is such a shockingly good series.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Difference is, at least poop eaters aren't hurting anyone else or trying to get others into eating poop

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

the poop eaters criminalized abortion and are absolutely trying to get others to eat poop. they're drinking piss!

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They do a great job, not just with tearing it down but in showing exactly how/why complicated and attractive it can be.

This show is so good. Almost finished with season 2.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You absolutely must plow through season 3, it is garbage but if you don't, the rest of it won't make sense.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Disagree. I’m almost done with season 3 now. Loving it a lot. Always on the edge of my seat.

Amos is the best. He's my "if I were gay" choice.

4 years ago | Likes 74 Dislikes 0

Amos as a character, awesome. His actor however, sheeesh

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

understandable. He’s my husband’s if I myself am “out of town/in a meeting/taking a nap” choice.

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I'd let him board my ship anytime

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Amos is how I would run an evil aligned character in a campaign. He knows he's a bad person, so he outsources his conscience to the others.

4 years ago | Likes 47 Dislikes 0

That's a fucking brilliant idea. That will 100% be my next character

4 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

He's definitely not a bad person. It's referenced that he had a fucked up childhood and had to do fucked up things because of that. He

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I didn't say he was bad, I said his alignment was evil. As in his first instinct to problem solving is murder. Lots of murder.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And then have Bobbi go physically kick ass.

Every political system has pros and cons, and in practice, it comes down more to who actually holds the power. Even democracies: see the USA

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 4

Almost any government system could be great, the problem is finding a philosopher king good enough to lead it. So many do poorly.

Still don't understand how "Antifa" is supposed to be a bad thing. How do you paint Anti-Fascists as bad?

4 years ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 5

Much like critical race theory, you start by not knowing what it is and then let grifters define it wrong for you until you're angry.

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Heres a fun exercise! Next time someone brings up 'Antifa' or 'BLM' in a negative fashion demand they say the full words instead.

4 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

By using propaganda to turn a loose decentralized concept with no structure into a scapegoat boogeyman as the source of all your problems.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

There's a reason the common joke is "I'm the president/leader/king of Antifa", because it's as broad and generic a term as "civil rights".

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

By fashioning people into fascists who don't think they're fascists, and then saying "These guys are your enemy."

4 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 1

If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck it's most likely a duck. Even if it's not self aware enough to know what a duck is.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

You've just defined the difference between an Agent and an Asset.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

By not understanding that "your side" which AntiFa is against, is "Fa," and this the "bad side."

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

it's not the concept of being anti fascist that pisses people off, it's the group that calls themselves "antifa" assaulting/attacking 1/

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 17

people that exercise their 1st amendment right to peaceably assemble that pisses people off. counter protest all you want, but the 2/

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 16

second you assault the people you are counter protesting, you are in the wrong. "Although I may disagree with what you say I'll defend 3/

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 15

to the death your right to say it". and on that note: fuck any and all ACTUAL racists/nazis/supremacists etc. 4/4

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 13

lol what 'assaults' do you think are happening? trollllll

4 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Just drop it, he's not worth it the sad little fascist he is.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Lol this dude is a hardliner. He tries desperately hard to vilify the left.

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Antifa uses both nonviolent and violent direct action to achieve its aims. *...Yeah its probably that violent action that paints them bad.

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 17

Serious question. Do people who think like this honestly believe there has never been a good reason for violence?

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

I didnt say i shared that belief, i dont oppose fighting evil men. I said "thats probably what paints them bad."

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 4

So i would say its fairly understandable why the bad light. Or do you have good reasons to approve of their violence and feel it does good?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 4

However, they are not fighting hitler. I believe violence is last resort. They are a bit new to be allready at last resort.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 4

people exercising their 1st amendment right to peaceably assemble is never a good reason for violence

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 7

Ah yes I forgot the nazis did nothing but peaceful assembly to voice their discontent with the state of affairs in 1900's Germany, silly me

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

um....that's not what I was talking about at all. unfortunately war is sometimes necessary

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 7

By using a too fluid definition of fascism. Anfifa's goal is admirable but can be aimed at the wrong people or groups. This is yet to be an

4 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 10

issue but as the political divide grows, it almost certainly will be one at some point.

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 7

Antifa is not a monolithic group

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Which is a massive part of the problem.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

What? How is the fact that antifa is not some singupar organization with a singular ideology a "massive part of the problem"?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Call yourself anfifa and then you automatically get identified as being anfifa, that's literally perfect for nutjobs to ruin the name.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

How do you mean aimed at the wrong people? You mean like antifa wielded like a cudgel against others?

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Politician(s) decide they don't like someone(s), they then call them nazis and carefully word what they're doing in a way that makes them

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

look bad. Now they're a target.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Politicians are already doing this against antifacists, BLM, and other groups. Antifa is working against those efforts.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Thats the fear isnt it, but it relies on the assumption that the people are dumb enough to not understand what fascists look like.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You're being too optimistic if you think that will not be a problem.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

The expanse books seriously are so eye opening.

4 years ago | Likes 376 Dislikes 2

How? I found them quite amusing, and especially the short stories were very well written. But eye opening?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Book Holden kinda ruined the first one for me.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I've watched all the shows. Should I read the early books or skip ahead to where the show ended? Tia

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Honestly either would work. There is a lot to love in the books but they do a really honest adaptation

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Prax's explanation of ecological cascade failure really reinforces the severity of climate change.

4 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

This was one of the parts that had a lasting impact for me for sure. Probably my favorite book

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Come to think of it, I think Prax saves the most lives just as one guy. Except maybe Miller but that was more of a team effort.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Hey, I‘d wager you‘ve seen the series, so… can I just switch to the books 7-9 after finishing the series? I read there are some differences.

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Major differences. Like whole characters that dont exist or are totally different. I dunno if it matters though cuz the next book jumps 1/

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Characters are very different..Naomi for example is a dumpster fire in the show, but one of the best in the books.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

IMO 7-9 can almost be read as stand-alones. There’ll be some confusion with characters that were merged/changed, but plot is solid.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Most of those are dead at that point even. Basically only leaving Drummer I think (out of the changed people)

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Like 20 years into the future. I do think the books are very very worth reading. A lot of the deeper stuff isnt as apparent in the show 2/2

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

You should read all the books first. Some characters are merged in the show, and Alex had to be killed off cause the actor was problematic.

4 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

I‘ll go for the audiobooks (I drive a lot) but thank you. I think I‘ll postpone getting them just so I don‘t gear the story twice in such

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Short time and just listen to the whole series then. Thanks for your advice

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Which sucks cuz book Alex is a fantastic character

4 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Did the show do them justice, or did they only scratch the surface?

4 years ago | Likes 87 Dislikes 0

It was great until the last season. Boring antagonist and no aliens.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 4

I like the books a lot better but the show is pretty good. I got frustrated when they wrote out/ deeply changed some characters

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I mean i like drummer in the series but she was literally 2 different characters they smashed together and picked out the choice bits from.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Ty and Dan (james S.A. Coray) are the exec prods on the show, they've made changes to fit it into it's run but overall it's been good imo.

4 years ago | Likes 39 Dislikes 0

The switch to amazon did curtail some expectations for Alcon, but otherwise they did achieve a lot.

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Felt right to me.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Havent read the books but the show is really good. They relaxed with the move to Amazon but in the 1st few season they really paid >

4 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

attention to the practicalities of space. Like water in squeeze tubes, not cups.

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I’ve not yet watched the show, only read the books. But I understand there were some plot short cuts taken in the show when they got (1/2)

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Cancelled the first time, and that’s going to always be a problem for a show. (2/2)

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The show is a great adaptation. Some divergence, a few characters missing or merged, but handled really well. I love the show, it's great.

4 years ago | Likes 62 Dislikes 0

Drummer was the PERFECT example of merging different characters. But she killed the role so well it was the best choice

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yes! Cara Gee is awesome. One of the few occasions where I think I liked the on screen version of a character better than the book.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I loved the first two seasons, haven’t watched the third yet

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

The third was still good. The fourth was starting to lose steam. I didn't make it past that.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not bad. Could have been better. I feel like my part was under-represented in later seasons.
