I remember learning about something like this in drivers ed, I believe it's called a car crash.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That figures it would be Burbank. I used to live close to there in cali

Read bumper is designed to deflect momentum downward. The nose of the middle car was pushed down by this.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The middle cars bumper deflected momentum from the rear car downward cause it's rear to lift into the air, like a fulcrum.

Middle car jammed its brakes & the back end lifted up. Nose on the ensuing vehicle dipped when brakes were applied. Allowing the undercut

8 years ago | Likes 79 Dislikes 1

Here I thought it was a rhetorical.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ok, THAT makes sense. Couldn't figure out how middle car got that way without rear end damage.

8 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 1

Um, there IS rear end damage. Rear axle is separated from the car and the rear bumper is falling off.

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

Only minor damage
