This is Bandit

We almost gave him the name Zorro, due to his black mask. Bandit, Zorro, Fluffball, Barkie Von Snauser, Buddy. All fond names we'd call him, but he was our Bandit.

He loves food here, and this video is from just before his 10th birthday. He would hop even higher and faster before this, but I had to get my camera out to record this one day while dishing it up.

One of the cutest puppies ever!

And here he is melting into the floor. When not on the hunt for food, he saves his energy, to utilize in the mad dash for more food!

Bandit the Pirate. Kind of self defining isn't it?

With bangs, he is the Shaggy Dog. Without them, he looks kinda like an Ewok.

Snow dogs! The one on the right is my sister's husky, Azura!

Like a whole different dog when he gets a trim, but it grows so fast.

I wish I could say this post was about 3.50 or just to make you think the worst and spin it around to make you smile, but it isn't. It was Bandit's last day, and it has been all I could do to keep it together for family, and his sake (as much as I did anyways).

He has been getting sicker, with needing help even getting up to move, weakness, an entire loss of appetite and the personality with it. Today we woke to total and utter lethargy. While we were able to bring him out of it for a while, the trip to the vet confirmed the worst of it. His red blood cell count was at 14% (27% is normal, 12-15% is critical/life threatening). He was 10, would have been 11 in January.

This is actually our last picture of him, and I think it is gorgeous. My little sister took it, as we all got there to say goodbye to him, and you can hardly tell he is sick. He held on until my Dad could get there too, and we were all able to say goodbye to him then, and stayed with him to the very end. While I know this was for the best, and for his best interests after talking with one of the best Vets I have ever met (Thank you SO MUCH Dr. Kat, and all of your staff. You were wonderful), it just hurts so much. I just wanted to post something. It is already too quiet here.

My little sister had this picture of him from I think 8 years ago. He would sleep like this, 'like superman.' Arms forward and locked, with his blanket coiled around or atop him like a cape. He was our superdog. He always could tell us what he wanted, and what he needed, and I just hope he got even a fraction of the love we have for him.

Goodnight Bandit, and thank you for listening this far imgur. Go hug your furry friends. They all deserve it.

As someone who recently lost their pupper, I'm so so sorry for your loss.

Thank you so much, I'm sure he would have loved to meet you. New people were his favorite non food related thing!
