She's on pain medications and muscle relaxers, so she kept putting her head on my hand and then making me support it, slowly falling asleep. Poor sleeping pup. I'll hold your head up for you, you earned it.

UPDATE #4: (2/17) You guys! You guys, you guys, you guys. I freaking love all of you. Seriously.
I just got off the phone with the veterinary surgeon. Lua is doing really great today! They have taken her off the continuous suction, and so far so good! She still has the chest tube in, but is now on intermittent manual suction. If she continues to do well, they will consider removing the chest tube tomorrow morning. She should be coming home by this weekend!!!!!!!
I am still not sure of what the total bills will be, but I do not think they will be anywhere near the original estimate ($7,000). Right now, they are just over $4,000 and I don't think they will go up TOO much more- which means they will almost completely be covered by this GoFundMe.
I don't know what to say. I really don't. I am so humbled and so grateful. I cry happy tears of gratitude a lot. I cry every time I check my messages and the comments and I just ... wow. You guys are amazing. Really, truly, thank you.
I will try to personally respond to every person who donated; if you left additional contact information, you will be hearing from me, I promise! I've been a little busy (I am back at work today), so you may not have heard from me yet, but I am truly indebted to you. If there is any way that I can ever repay you, or pay this kindness forward, you had best believe that I will.

UPDATE #6: (2/18) I was not allowed to visit Lua today -- because they took her chest tube out and need her to stay calm and quiet and rest SO THAT SHE CAN COME HOME TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
