A clock made by my wonderful grandfather

Mar 11, 2017 12:05 AM

Made from exotic hardwood

Some of the scroll work

In total about 3500 holes

It took more or less 1000 hours to do, over the course of his winter lay off.

And the top of the clock. This was made with a scroll saw and lots and lots of patience, if I get enough interest I will post the rest of his projects, which in my unbiased opinion, are quite amazing

Imguraffe tax!

It's gorgeous

Is this common because my grandfather made a clock that looks very similar

That's cool, bro. What does your crappy grandfather make?

Your grandfather has an infinite amount of patience.

I become quite envious at times, but I'm still hoping that patience runs in the family!

That is absolutely beautiful. Take good care of it. It's worth a lot more than you'd think.

he had it priced by someone who sells clock on the east coast, and taking account of time, materials, and overall build quality, about $3500

So it's a grandfather clock - it's ok I will leave and delete my account.

You saw the chance and you took it. I respect that.
