I miss Lupin so so much it grew wild where I grew up in a rainbow of colors and I've been unable to find the deep red for years! Beautiful!

Always upvote anything about New Zealand. America should be jealous of their competent leadership.

Once this whole pandemic thing is over, is NZ willing to take in American? I'm pretty quiet for one.

They are a invasive species. They resemble death. Don't listen to the siren song.

I live here. Dec-Jan is lupin madness. Tourists nearly kill themselves and their families to get the perfect pic on road . Not this year tho

They're invasive. Some people argue for nitrogen fixing, but they outcompete native species. Often spread along high tourism roads

5 years ago | Likes 43 Dislikes 0

Invasive? Aren't these Snapdragons?

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They're Lupines, not Snapdragons

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Where are they naive to? We have them in Norway too and they are invasive here as well.

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

North and South America I think? They're pretty, just invasive :P

It's beautiful, but the Texas in me is too paranoid of rattlesnakes to be tromping around in there all willy-nilly

Plus the Texas blue bonnet fields top this, but I'm just partial to blue I guess

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

You'd be pleased that know that there are no snakes in New Zealand. Tromp away without any fear.

5 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 0

I'd be more worried about that ominous noise that's seemingly all around you

I miss Texas. The food makes the heat and the critters worth it. Plus, beautiful skys and friendly people.

My late husband said he loved driving to meet me bc it was rural enough for his love of "big Texas sky country". So I get what ya mean

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

No snakes in NZ, not even in the zoos.

5 years ago | Likes 65 Dislikes 0

Is Alice Cooper allowed to bring his when he tours NZ?

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Probably not.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I didn't realize St Patrick did work in NZ, too

5 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 0

Was just wondering, do they have snakes there? Danger patch in Texas.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Nope

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

NZ doesn't have snakes, spiders, or any other reasons to fear tall underbrush. Opposite of australia!

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Monty Python's Brian Moore sketch has a lot of Lupins

5 years ago | Likes 82 Dislikes 1
