When the first light sabers are made, we will be ready.

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Cool but I read the title as "Best Saber" and I was expecting a blond woman in knight armor.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

What's the name of that song.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Where is "Jedi Hero: Drum Edition"? Or "Jedi Barbershop"? Or "Jedi Barbie Gets a makeover and by makeover i mean she gets a hand cut of"?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

So many opportunities missed.

Beat saber

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Ok... so shes doing this on vr. What are we looking at? A screen? With her in front? Is it a video with the effects added in? What?

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

You associate another vr controller with a spectator camera in the game, then stick it to a camera IRL. Set the game up in an area that's >

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

>covered in greenscreen and you can sync the VR and IRL video to get this effect. Check out Sam and Niko/Corridor Digital/Node on YouTube>

> for a more detailed explanation

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Shit, I just realized you have to strike the box on the side with the arrow. That makes it significantly harder.

8 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

If they based score on how accurate your strike was it'd be even better. Base + bonus for accuracy.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I've only seen combos in the videos I've seen, but if it evolves like any other rhythm games things will require more and more precision.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What is this?! Guitar Hero for Jedis? I want it.

8 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

it's an as-yet-unreleased game called Beat Saber. The concept looks really similar to Audioshield, which is amazing fun

Hey, what the hell did you do to my flying two-colored brick collection! Some of those were limited edition bricks!

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Oh my good god. You could adapt the angles and trajectories of the incoming targets and teach someone legit blade-focused martial arts.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

You could record some masters doing some drills, average their tempos and blade paths, and build training levels off of that data.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

But a big part of training is dealing with the feedback and not loosing control during a clash. Hit my wife right in the knee after a parry.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's certainly important. But I'm thinking back on the HOURS of solo drilling I used to do without a partner outside of class.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Holy shit! I’m officially saving for a VR system now.

8 years ago | Likes 180 Dislikes 9

I have the HTC Vive and it is AMAZING. Audioshield is similar to this game, and REALLY fun.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

PSVR is your best bet now that gpus cost $350 minimum

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 3

I have one. I'm gonna get this game for sure.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If you get one get bulletsandmore it’s COD but you’re actually doing everything it’s great

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

as a Vive owner, it kicks ass and I recommend it

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I want to get VR, but I don't have the space or computer power to use it.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Look into the Oculus Rift. I'm pretty sure that's moreso a sitting experience.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I tried Vive at Gamestop -- crazy experience. How does the Oculus compare, if you've tried them?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've never tried the Oculus, but I've heard good things about it. especially with the touch controllers.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

When I tried the Vive, there were little dots on the touch pads, it was so cool!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Was in the same boat. PSVR is a good alternative. Got the Skyrim bundle and love it. Even netflix is great, movie theater size screen.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As for space, most games you can play sitting down or standing in place without moving around much.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hmm, I'll have to keep that in mind. I've heard that Minecraft is VR-capable, so that's one thing I already have.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

How much is it in the us? With all accesories?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If you already have a gaming computer, $400-600. $1000, bare minimum, if you don't.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The GPU prices ain’t cheap

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

You have cryptocurrency miners to thank for that.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Just buy from Nvidia directly.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Lmao I singed up for the email alert and got like 1 in 2 weeks and there gone in a second

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They’re*

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I bought mine through them. decided to make the purchase, went on and bought it. Didn't know they were short.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Uh...just out of curiosity...saving "yourself" or saving money?

8 years ago | Likes 78 Dislikes 2

Themself. They're going to shove that gaming system up their own ass. It's true love.

8 years ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 0

Giving their anus the best true VR experience

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Has tecnology gone too far...up in there?

Only when Bad Dragon creates a VR game with peripherals.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

"Lay the dragon? I'm pretty sure that's a typo-OH MY FUCKING GOD IT'S HUGE-HNNNNGGGGHHHH"

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I have one, I only have played vr games for the past few months. If you have any questions then ill try to help you out

8 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 1

For people curious, in my opinion one of the weakest things about VR systems is the headset head sweat. it gets sweaty and gross fast.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Very interested!! I don’t know anyone with even the basic VR system. Any information is great!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have a vive. The entry price was steep then you see a million games for it, so expect to buy that then spend $20+ per game.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Also each game for the most part feel like an arcade game that you could put an hour into and get the full experience. Like space pirate sim

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Which is a great game but feels to me like most of this stuff is most enjoyable when you get that friend over and switch off beating scores

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Which one? Can spectators see whats going on? (I have a projector). Variety of games? Fun at parties?

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I would try getting Dolphin emulator set up, so you can play Mario Kart in it.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes, eh, and yes. There are definitely a few great games but the rest can be hit or miss.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If you have a lot of money the vive is good. The oculus is a far cheaper option that is good as well but purchasing a third sensor is a 1/?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Pretty necessary buy. The games will display on the monitor you have hooked up to the PC. The are very few games but there are some gems 2/3

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That stand out and make it worth it if you are into that kind of thing.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

A stupid question... But VR systems are "only" goggles? They have to be hooked to a computer?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yes with a VR capable gpu.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As someone who has not done any research in VR and who is just now interested, by who and how much? Is it like comp systems, mor $ = better?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

HTC Vive is the one being shown. It runs on your PC so you need a high end PC for it to work. screen is 2160x1200@90hz. less than 90 =nausea

How do I fill the void in my soul where a father's love is supposed to be?

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Casual sex, drugs, and booze.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Just like father used to do

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Don't forget to go out for cigarettes at the end..

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm looking to upgrade my rig to run an oculus rift. I can't afford a really high end graphics card, but I figured I'd go with some 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Kind of 6gb 1060 level card, it meets the recommended specs, but are those specs good enough?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

if you can get a 980ti for cheap, you can do that. It's last gen, but stronger than a 1060. It's also what I have and it works for vr.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Next gen of video cards is right around the corner, wait for the price drops before investing in anything lower than a 1080, imo.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Will it work for ppl in wheelchairs? I never got those console cameras since it looked like you had to stand to use it

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They recommend they cameras be at least 6 feet high iirc. But you can always clamp it to an extendable tripod or some shit.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah vr works very well for people in wheelchairs. Only problem that I hear about is grabbing something from the ground on a few games

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

(2)and if you're asking about the games themself, standing is not required since only the headset/controllers have sensors.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

a) Have you played the above game? b) Do you think games (in general) are still gimmick-y, or are games catching up to the tech now?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It’s not out yet

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Do you think it's worth it? I am a casual gamer

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

If you have the pc and some room then a rift with a 3rd sensor is worth it. Just buy it at a place that you can return it to be safe.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

(2)like, Id rather play a full fledged game with great story/graphics/gameplay than an incredibly basic VR game. (Dark Souls, Doom, Witcher)

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Moss, that just came out for PSVR like a week ago, was awesome. I only bought a PSVR because I won $300 in fantasy football. No regerts.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No. I was super hyped and bought a vive on launch. games are getting a bit better, but they're still basically tech demos (1)

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Honestly probably not. You will love it at first but the novelty runs out very fast. But it is awesome showin it to friends for the 1st time

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I played with one the other day. Before, I assumed the vr thing was just some temporary craze and that it was gimmicky. But it was actually

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Cool as hell. Really looked like I was in the area. I played that superhot game and I felt like I was in the matrix or some shit.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I am too and have Vive VR and absolutely love it. SuperHot VR, Gorn, and RecRoom make it worth the price.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

dont forget VRchat!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

vr.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Holy shit, I didn't know SuperHot was on VR! Omg that sounds fun.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It's torture with a smile.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's just as much fun as you would imagine. Full on Matrix.
