I hate the camera work on videos like this. Let the skill speak for itself, id much rather see the performance in its totality without all the distracting zoomies.

Such skill, follow your dreams young man.

Our high school band has some serious drummers. One introduced me to Rush. Their marching band routine at competitions was so fun to watch.

Used to know someone how could drum like this. Goddamn it all, I hate fentanyl dealers so much.

Fuckin siiick

He's good. Needs to hold on to the sticks a bit tighter though.

Always enjoy good percussion work. The video with all the stupid panning can get fucked though. Between this and one word captioning. Get off my lawn!

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This dude is better at like 9 things than I am at any one thing, and he's doing all of them at once

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I hope your feet don't do that on the field.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not my tempo

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Pssshhh, I could do even better (if I rehearsed for like a thousand years)

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Welp, he's in one of the HBCU drumlines , that's for fucking sure

So strange to be that talented/practiced but to not tighten the drum stand? It was sliding down from the first hit.

I dropped my chopsticks.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Very impressive. It would have been fun if each stick he pulled from behind his back was a different color

Frame rate can't keep up with the beat.

This is exactly what I thought of when he started pulling out those extra sticks and tossing them.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's actually BCU's band's tag line, as well lol

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

There is an entire world of people who compete in Drum Corps, WGI Drumlines, and Marching Bands that have never seen that movie. Soruce: Am one.

2 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

Yeah well you're not missing much, I was also in drumline and that movie is not very accurate

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Maybe he read the book

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

HBCU marching bands are so damn cool and the style of performance and Soul, R&B, Hip Hop influences pair perfectly with getting the crowd going. When I was in high school marching band drumline we always were inspired by the theatricality and dancing they do in that movie. We had to keep it very limited and to our own technical standards though as we did the more mild ‘regular’ kind of marching band from the Midwest (nebraska).

I love drumline too. I haven’t watched it in a minute though.

There is no guilt in pleasure. Celebrate the things that bring you joy and you’ll see that joy grow.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You're an adult. You shouldn't have guilty pleasures.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

kind of the same. I just like when the 2 bands face off and the protag just starts drumming on the opposing teams drum XD

2 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Yeah the disrespect of that was so intense. Great scene

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Why...why guilty? Are people out here shaming you for enjoying drumlines?

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I think they mean the movie with Nick Cannon

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yeah, that’s the one
