The game field
I'm currently working with the Football team for UW-Madison and let me start off by saying this is probably the coolest job I've had. I never really posted anything but I got a few upvotes on a comment and thought I should.
Practice field
But just to elaborate the players are in shape and it is crazy to just know which players are getting scouted and seeing a ton of NFL scouts come scouting the prospects. But practice usually starts at 8:30 and gets done at 7ish but that means we usually stay around for another hour or 2 for treatment.
Now the treatments include a lot of electro therapy and heating and cooling. We wrap everyone before they go off and sometimes even do more depending on their reoccurring injuries. I've seen a lot of tears hit the floor when we tell them they can't play. I see people jump to joy when I say they can go full practice. It's so rewarding but working everyday late hours gets to you. The traffic sucks and the pay is nice ( not the best). I enjoy this so much and I wouldn't change it for anything.
The best thing is seeing the victories we earn. Sorry if you aren't a Badger fan but here is just a glimpse of some we have. The team isn't the best but we get some nice awards. I've always been supportive even from growing up in Wisconsin. Sorry if this isn't something you wanted to read but I just wanted to share a little bit of what I do. If anyone wants to know more I'll gladly talk about it.
A little dog tax cause I don't own my own yet cause the apartment I live in doesn't allow big dogs and I can't risk getting kicked out in this city.

The real pickle is whether those guys on the field are also "working" at a D1 school.
