This is the 2016 Koenigsegg Regera
The world's first direct drive supercar.
1500 hp hybrid powertrain. Twin turbo 1100hp 5.0L v8 paired with 3 electric motors. One on the crank and two on the rear axle.
0-60 in 2.7 has been achieved many times before and even beaten by cars such as the P100d and Dodge Demon. However, no other production car has been able to reach 250 mph from 0 in just under 20 seconds!
Unlike any of Koenigsegg's other models, the Regera features a magnificent luxury interior with a superior sound system including subwoofers in the doors.
Some are confused by the paddles on the steering wheel as the car has no transmission. Their purpose is for shifting between drive, neutral, and reverse, as well as switching driving modes.
With an 8000 volt power bank, 1500 hp, a lightweight hydraulic torque converter, and the capability of the consecutive Nurburgring runs before dropping below 100% battery, this is truly a groundbreaking technological powerhouse of a hypercar.
