Says it all really

FP edit: send photos of animals!

I prefer to double loop it at the beginning, rather than use the granny knot. Just the way I was taught. Used it for fishing for 20+ years.

@op But this isn't the first thing you favorited?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And is it my real cakeday???

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Most likely not.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

That’s just knotty.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Awesome, now I can hang myself

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Kreh non-slip loop type knot.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You think this post is funny? I'm a frayed knot.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Will this work for hanging ones self or do I need a stronger knot?

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

13 loops instead of four for hanging.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

thanks

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Can I use it to Fukin kill myself?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

How timely. I was just talking about going fishing for the first time in a while this weekend.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Rapala knot!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

More of a palamar guy myself

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

palomar, and yes, me too

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You could have said Knotty, but you didn’t.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If you can't tie knots, tie lots.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The third image is telling me to use the smudge tool, yes?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Add water?

8 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

I assumed we're intended to cry on it.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Spit on the line. Monofilament (fishing line) has a tendency to not snug up fully w/o lubrication.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I have that same problem

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'll favour this too as I always forget.

What's the name of this knot?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

a breakup and 6 shots

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I believe it's the Rapala knot. It's the same as the one on the Rapala packs anyhow

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Waking up late on graduation day.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Could you imagine seriously needing a knot for life saving purposes and trying to find it in your favorites?... at least before the folders

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I can, because I barely favorited anything.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I can knot

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

As is with tradition.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I see that not happening on a nice windy day on a boat with sub 20lb mono, anytime.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 5

I know who he is, from both shows, and am familiar with the storyline. Dumb comment is still dumb.

Don't you mean.... Thanks for knotting?

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

The important thing is that you gave it your best.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

* thanks for knotting.

8 years ago | Likes 118 Dislikes 0

Knotted it

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

What kind of knot is it?\

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You need to at least take me out to dinner and a movie before trying to knot me.

8 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 1

You almost made me spit my pizza out with that comment

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's always amusing to see who knows what "knot" means in this context.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Don't judge, I just say a post a little while ago explaining this.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My favorite fishing knot

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

My 'favorite and forget' knot. Like all the others.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I go with the Palomar, hasn’t failed me yet

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The uni knot is my go-to.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I thought these were drawings of dildos from the thumbnail

8 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 2

Dildos on Imgur? That would be knotty.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Seeing things as dildos. A regular occurrence perhaps?

8 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

If those are the dildos you're using you have one hell of a life. Congrats.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Rubbed things can be nice!

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Ribbed* >.>

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

How strong is this Knot?

8 years ago | Likes 86 Dislikes 1

Incredibly. Its also one of the oldest. Its been used in Japan forever.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Definitely the strongest.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The 'Kreh' non-slip Loop is +95% (not reliably 100%) the rating of the line when correctly tied. You need to increase turns for smaller line

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Strong enough to reel in the whale that your mother is.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

knot very

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It is knot strong

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It’s not my most trusted, the tag end always feels a little loose no matter how well I cinch it down

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Strong to hang someone. That's a fuckin noose

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Seems to work, on chris cornell it did the job :/

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 16

Too soon?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Strong enough to hang a person

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

5/7

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

A follow up question; how strong is this knot for sexy time?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Knot string enough

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Very. It tightens as you pull on it.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

If you want strength, do a bowline.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Bowlines are only up to 80% the strength of the line. This is almost 100%

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is a bowline, just with a few more extra twists around the tree before the rabbit runs back down the hole

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

No it's not. There's an overhand knot in there instead of just a locking turn.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

About 10 strongs

8 years ago | Likes 263 Dislikes 3

Knot much

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Literally lol'd. Thanks

8 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

Strong enough to hang yourself with if that's what you're asking

8 years ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 5

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Lolol right I saw that immediatly, that's a fuckin noose

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It's a good knot for lures, not ideal for direct hook to line though due to loose loop.

8 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 1

You can do almost the exact same not but without the loop

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But that one sucks compared to this and palomar

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

For me I only use this know when tying a big ass streamer for browns on.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It is if you're fishing streamers and can't tie a perfection knot for shit

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I usually use an anchor bend with its 2 loops through the eye.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I’ve used this knot for the last 30 years for lures except I wrap it 6 times. Always served me well.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Perfect for swivels and ledgers too etc

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It's great for florocarbon and monofiliment fishing line. Mot so much for braided, go with palomar knoybfor braided.

8 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

v

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

For me it's more of a streamer knot for extra action on the fly.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Palomar knot is life

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Easy as hell too.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The Bimini twist is roughly 100% as strong as the line you are using

8 years ago | Likes 54 Dislikes 2

This is a 'Kreh' Non-slip loop. it's close to 100% but not reliably so.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

For line-doubling braided line, Bimini wins. For all other purposes / line types, it doesn't make the top 5. (Not trying to be dicky, but if

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

2) you wanted the skinny, there it is.)

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

That's not what this is though

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Exactly what I was going to say. The Bimini knot is used as a shock absorber anyway for leader to main line.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Very strong. I use this (slight variation in last step) and the Palomar knot exclusively. Double uni knot for line to leader though.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

try the alberto knot for braid to mono/fluoro and the albright for mono to mono

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

FG knot is king but takes too long on the water. Double uni is strong and quick so i do that if I get frayed or broke off

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

yeah, i don't like the fg knot, it's too hard to tie. alberto is quick.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I would like to know about that variation

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Variation /a/xIsuE hopefully that makes sense. You just run the line through both loops.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Also leave some of the tag end so if the knot slips a tad you dont lose your fish.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thanks budy, this is going to help a lot
