Not a baby but I was filleted open with a foot long gap down my stomach and the hospital kicked me out the next day, gotta turn those beds like a waiter turns tables. "Just go buy a private nurse for the next 2 months"

Only one of those is Pro-life, and shows it by example.

BTW, I recognize the voice of Roya! She must be collaborating with Veronica and the gang.

FR cont.: "Also, here's the date your child will retire on. It's guaranteed for life and they'll have a guaranteed minimum income and health insurance for the rest of their life. If any politician tries to fuck with that, we'll riot in the streets until they quit in disgrace. Enjoy!"

At a hospital KS billing called my wife who was on narcotics after a complicated delivery. They wanted her to write a check for more than was in our account, then scurry home and transfer the money to checking BEFORE they submitted the claim to insurance.

I got the phone out of her hands and told that wasn't happening.

The sheer barefaced audacity.

Oh. There was a LOT of audacity in that call. But I have a character limit.

I remember these charts that the US chamber of commerce used to distribute to libraries all over the country. They compared how many hours a person in the United States has to work - compared to a person in France, Russia, Japan, West Germany, and Sweden - to afford a meal, a TV set, a car, and so forth.
Unsurprisingly, the exceptional USA ranked the best in each of the categories! That’s all these charts dealt with – things, not people.

This exact story happened to my wife and I. I was so fucking pissed off. You have no control over which anesthesiologists is present. It's such a fucking train wreck of a system.

More luigis are needed to solve this problem.

I was foced to pay 30$ for every night i stayed in the same two bed hospital room as my wife. Granted it covered 3 meals pr. Day, and wasnt stricly enforced, but still! Almost American conditions...

Children are one of the most costly hobbies.

1 month ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Sex, it was a nice little hobby I shared with my wife that seems to have gotten out of hand

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

a lil snip saves money

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah if you'd kept it in your hand it is often much cheaper

Just had a kid. The out of pocket was $4k, we stayed 3 days in the suite and my wife hasn’t gone back to work in 7 months. This is America.

The funniest part about this is?

When I was in the Army we had two children, my wife stayed in the hospital for 4 days after each one was born, she got breast feeding consultations, a in room diaper changing class (that we didn't need) and we weren't allowed to leave the hospital until a member of staff inspected our carseat and checked that we knew how to uninstall it and reinstall it.

The women who served with me who had babies, got 10 weeks leave minimum. The US knows whats right.

I mean, Europeans pay a lot of health insurance. I pay ~400€ a month and that is little. So while the vid is great and all and there's bonuses it's not like it's for free.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

A lot of these aspects are different state to state, here in Connecticut we have family leave for men and women. oh our health system definitely sucks, but some systems are better than others.

These subtitles are shit

‘Land of the free’

Not free healthcare tho.

So can a woman fly to France, have the baby and save money?

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Bullshit. Why was the French nurse speaking English, why was she giving her a check in US$. And why was the American lady not shot immediately for no payment of bills?

1 month ago | Likes 68 Dislikes 4

Story is true. We europeans know how it goes. Language spoken here is english so that you dumb americans know how much you are dumb. We should start a revolution, but you must start two or three at least.

1 month ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

Yes comrade. Americans stupid dumb will victory win for our winning number.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Well, seeing as how Trump was elected more than zero times, we had to make sure you could understand at least some of it.

1 month ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

I thought the mother language of the US is now spanish if you consider how hyper paranoid all the GOP got over the half time show.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Also where's the ICE agent demanding to see the baby's birth certificate, and then being unable to read it when presented with it, and proceeding to ship both the baby and the mother to separate out-of-state prisons where they'll both die of preventable diseases due to exposure to unvaccinated populations?

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Because if she was shot for non-payment of bills... she cant push out more babies. You can push out more babies in prison while sewing underwear for Victoria secret or growing/processing food to sell at whole foods.

Also 8 weeks is laughably short MAT leave for an EU country.

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

8 weeks. That’s feckin weak. 12 months here. 18 if you split your unemployment payments I think (too old to have kids or know the rules). We missed out our last kid was 6 months. The next year it was 12. Lucky next mothers!!

What a shithole country [genuinely surprised "country" didn't autocomplete]

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So if a country wants to encourage the next generation, there are very real and straightforward policies that they could enact.

But it seems to me like the billionaire class would rather have people in constant debt, who are desperate to work. Without employment they can't pay for healthcare, childcare, or an overpriced mortgage on the shoddy house made entirely out of cardboard and plastic.

1 month ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

It's interesting to note that just about every country that offers all sorts of maternity and paternity support have fertility rates below replacement. Desperation causes humans to reproduce like crazy as a survival mechanism. Also, desperation increases religiosity to increase, so churches will always support destroying universal safety nets if they want to keep their pews full. So it's not just the billionaires, it is every conservative in the world is your enemy.

This is unthinkable. The US is so backward it's embarrassing.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Point is that Americans pay MORE than European

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We could do that to so many US things you see has normal, textbooks, predatory loans for teenagers, for profit private prison system, school lunches, credit score, unregulated housing market, retirement, loosely regulated chemicals in your food, every single one of those options would put Paris under a 6 months siege

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

as* merde

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

France is just an example. 30 odd other countries do as well or better than France and none do anything the way the US does.

1 month ago | Likes 53 Dislikes 1

We got fix number of aproxx 17k Dollars that you can divade up to 3 years plus first half year the employer pays 80% salary.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The UK is top here but you get 90% pay for the first six weeks then £190 per week or 90% of your weekly earning for the next 33 weeks. France gives you 90% for 16 weeks then it stops.

1 month ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Canada here. Only 8 weeks of maternity leave??

1 month ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Denmark here: Only 8 weeks of maternal leave?!

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

iirc some countries also have paternal leave for father to stay home and help with the child

1 month ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

In the Netherlands our other half gets a paid week off, then an additional 5 weeks with 70% pay and a total of 26 weeks unpaid. All are rights and you get to spend those weeks/hours pretty much how you’d like

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

This is why the French don't have the money to pay for tax cuts for their millionaires.

Man i feel bad about living in europe that apperently is falling apart according to the great and smoothly running USA

1 month ago | Likes 170 Dislikes 5

Fuck do I despise the wealthiest third world nation on earth!

Fuck the USA, it's directly due to the confederate faction running the nation!

Did you know our freedom of speech is gone? Vance and Trump said so, so it must be true. If only we were in the US where Spanish singing dudes aren't seen as a problem by anyone.

1 month ago | Likes 39 Dislikes 0

Couch boy equates Nazi propaganda with free speech for some reason. He's such a weirdo.

My entire country runs solely on sharia law, now, my doctor doesn't exist, and trans immigrants stole my job.

If only I lived in wonderful, comfortable USA.

My doctor is a Muslim immigrant to the U.S.

1 month ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Last GP I saw was an African Muslim immigrant, and he was one of the best doctors I've spoken to in years.

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm a trans immigrant. I left a $140,000 USD/yr job in the U.S. to work for €15/hr as a secretary for a maximum of 20 hours a week, just to escape the U.S.

1 month ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Can't blame you, honestly. There's no way any of us are ever setting foot in that fucking country.

Congratulations on your escape!
