Just because some people in the US propagate a minority of child molesters inside the church ranks, doesn't mean there's anything inherently wrong with being a christian. In my country, there is a lot of respect for our priests, even though many of us are not religious. Our church has very little political power, the Christian parties died out like 15 years ago.

Yes, they are close to a dangerous cult of extremists, but that's exactly why we need to recognize the regular, sane people, who might not be happy about MAGA either.
