I had a recruiter once call me two months later for an interview. I had a job with another company and they talked to me like I should have felt blessed they got back to me. I was like: "Dude what companies wait two months for first round interviews for a software developer?"
I relate to this. There are some jobs I've applied to more than 50 years ago that haven't replied yet. Lately, the fraction of prospective employers who even acknowledge receipt of an application isn't much above 1%.
I started a new job Monday and have heard back from companies and recruiters I applied at months ago every day now. Too late, the company that struck first has my respect.
I once applied at panera. Interview went great. Didn't hear bsck from them for months. Got a job somewhere else. That panera got turned into a starbucks. Went on vacation to disneyworld. Then while chilling at the hotel, I get a call from a different Panera employee saying I can start my first shift on monday. NGL I felt sorta bad for the manager.
Lol, imagine living in a country in an economic crisis, with a dying middle class, and your government spends 100 million on a party celebrating and worshipping an old inbred rich guy.
I had an interview last month and never heard anything. I think its extra rude to not let someone know when you have an interview. I get not replying to all applications still rude but i get it ..
I was one of 3 people who made it to a final interview for a role, it was 3 weeks before I heard back, but their feedback implied the successful candidate was the obvious choice. Why take so long to decide then?
That could have been the case, yeah. By contrast, Legoland was fantastically quick. Applied online on a Thursday, got called on the Friday, interviewed the following Tuesday, offered the job on Wednesday. Whole process took less than a week, and there was a bank holiday in the middle
According to some historic research up to about 80 percent of marriages have been between 2nd cousins or closer, so it’s not exactly an outlier. 10 percent of currently world marriages fall in this category

Probably waiting for said person to sign contract so if they ditch out they still have options?
