I wish SO HARD that my man would dress like this.

Me: Wear same clothes for a week, put winter coat over the top. It's like I am wearing new clothes!

11 years ago | Likes 99 Dislikes 9

ok i know layers are good for the upcoming season, but how are you going to wear three pairs of shoes at once?!

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

As a Norwegian, that is what I wear now.

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

As a floridian, where are the shorts and flipflop options

11 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

Anybody know where I could find that last coat? The longer green one?

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Also wondering this

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Is anyone seeing the modern Sherlock in the long coat and the Oxford white shirt?

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Too bad I live in Florida. =(

11 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

favoriting to show my boyfriend how to wear something spiffy

11 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 3

Send him to r/malefashionadvice...it won't look great if it doesn't fit right

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Here come the irrational fashion haters.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Sneakers in winter??

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

WHITE sneakers in winter no less

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nah, that'll just become nice contrast to the frost gangrene on the toes.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Step 1. have money

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 4

Step 2. care

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Step 3. Finally get laid because you stopped being a basic hoodie and sweatpants bitch.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

the best time to wear a striped sweater. is all the time

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

How does this not have more upvotes???

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

i am a little late to respond. :(

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As someone from Arizona, sweaters? Winter coats? Winter? You're just making shit up now

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

I'm on mobile so I can't see the source, but I'm guessing /r/malefashionadvice?

11 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 2

Did that American Apparel ad just jump out of the sidebar and into my gallery?

11 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 9

I have a petsmart grooming ad. I don't even own a pet. They know I look at cats now. >.>

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Relax, it's just reddit's /r/malefashionadvice leaking into imgur.

11 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Well if it did, American Apparel just got a whole lot classier.

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I'm a girl and I'd wear all these.

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

I would love female versions of this if they exist.

11 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Favoriting to forget about later

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

It's hilarious how angry imgur gets at fashion posts.

11 years ago | Likes 120 Dislikes 2

Actually shows how "great" the so cheerished on imgur community is.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Whenever MFA or the like spill onto the front page of Reddit, hilarity ensues ... like the time Will Ferrell asked them for fashion advice

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

"DAE only wear one pair of clothes for the whole week?! These people are so rich!" = Hundreds of upvotes.

11 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

I'm seeing much less anger than I had hoped. Sad.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This thread is better than others, but there's still quite a few indignant "well *I'm* gonna ignore this!" type comments.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No i'll just wear a hoodie and sweatpants.

11 years ago | Likes 609 Dislikes 41

And toe socks.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The navy suit bootie pants oxford combo has my attention though.

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

YOU'LL GET SHOT

11 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 3

I'm from Washington. That's the standard issue uniform

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Confirmed. Hoodie or fleece jacket, or both. Lightweight shell/softshell if it's windy/too wet. Carhartt if you work outside a lot.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Also confirmed. Don't forget Red Wing boots if you need them

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I can't do that in Denver. I am from CA and I am a pussy when it comes to snow :(

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Seriously, it's not that hard. Why should i change my clothes because the weather changed?

11 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 10

As the Earth circles the Sun, average temperatures and weather conditions cycle.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Like, heat and wetness and a number of different reasons

MFA and related subreddits actually are pretty great communities ... but man does the frontpage community love to lay into them.

How would this style indicate "tool" ??

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

Psh advice is always welcome; I work in a strictly professional job, and to have some variation with clothes always helps.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I wear half of the stuff shown throughout the year anyway. Makes no difference to me.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And by half, I actually mean a third.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As a Floridian... sigh.

11 years ago | Likes 119 Dislikes 2

The weather is the best part about living in Florida.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As a Michigander, these coats go UNDER our man-eating, big ass parkas

11 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

That we are likely to wear in any given season. #puremi

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I feel your pain.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Why the sigh? I think our eternal sunshine is wonderful

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm also a Floridian, and for the most part I like it, but I can _never_ wear long sleeved clothes here.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, that's kind of annoying.. I wish we could layer clothing, as it usually looks more "put-together"

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

In this case layering clothing makes you look like a sweaty lumberjack.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

POOR YOU FUCKER /Regards a cold swede

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

As a Floridian, AIN'T SPENDIN MONEY ON THAT CRAP! MORE SHORTS PLEASE!!!

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As a current Floridian who lived way north and didn't need a coat then, I hate it here. I miss weather where normal folks would need this...

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

As someone who lives an hour at most from the Gulf of Mexico, I know them feels.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

As a floridian: Bullshit, it gets cold here. And I laugh at everyone without coats when it's ~30deg and i'm wearing 15lbs of wool.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Oh for sure, but honestly we need these about a total of a week whilst others need em 6 mos+

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As a Norwegian with many coats. Yes.

11 years ago | Likes 242 Dislikes 5

As a Canadian with many coats, also yes.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

except for most of those shoes tho

11 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 2

Haha, I seriously was looking at this thinking "this is how my Norwegian friends dress"

11 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

Thank GOD there are European men on this site. College aged American men generally don't know how to dress themselves. It's pathetic.

11 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

As a Finn: ahahhahahahahahha

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

American boys need fashion help like peanut butter needs jelly.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So do plenty of Finns. Southern Europe/Britain? Bring them all here...

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Price - $800 per piece.

11 years ago | Likes 71 Dislikes 20

Get your supplies at http://www.goop.com/

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Really? Because I can get jeans and chinos for like $5 at Walmart. It's styles, not brands.

11 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Thank you

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No

11 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 6

Wrong.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Damn. I shop at Goodwill. I rarely get to know what people actually paid for this stuff when it's new. That's insane.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Jokes aside, the plain white sneakers are about $300 a piece. I've had a pair of CPs last me 6 years now. Got a lot of mileage out of them.

11 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

I'll... just wear my converse.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've got some chucks as well. Great shoes. You can never go wrong with a pair.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Same here, best investment I've done.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

You had to pay $300 per shoe???

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

I paid 50€ for a pair of white Lacoste sneakers.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Are you kidding? These are mens clothes, each outfit probably costs less than $100. If they were womens clothes, then yeah, $800.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 6

The boots alone are going to cost you around $100. Even plain white sneakers of any worth (IE last you more than 4 months will be >$40).

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

So you spend $50 on something that will outlast 2 $25 items. Some of this shit will last years. You're paying for quality.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

No, these are mens fashion clothes. They're going to be expensive, too.

11 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 2

They can be. However, here, the guy just said "gray sweatshirt" - you can get a gray sweatershirt at Walmart.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Can. But you can get most fashionable womens clothing for cheap as well. But typically the people that buy this stuff also buy big brands.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well yeah - they generally fit better, last longer, and look nicer. However, you can still put together (most of) these outfits for <$50

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Excluding the coat, obviously. But coats tend to last a while anyway.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I always upvote BRETONS! T'as raison, c'est vrai que c'est un peu laid.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Esp not a pair of clapped out New Balance, lol.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Yay, a fellow breton !

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Especially white sneakers, ugh. White sneakers are for nurses.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

What if I call it a telnyashka, can I wear it with sneakers and a tracksuit?

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As a non-Breton, which one is that?

I'm going to go look up Breton and marinieriee.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Breton- someone from a place called Brittany in france

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

marinière-mussels in wine+onion sauce... or a stereotypical french sailor shirt (striped, long sleeves, turtleneckish collar)

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's such a generalization, though. Tastes vary in any culture. But yeah, I really don't like that outfit either...

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

True but you can still appreciate global currents. That's what culture is all about. That's why I generalized even though I agree with you

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

What should I wear instead?

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Deck shoes. Smthg very casual.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Shit man, I really want deck shoes, actually. Thanks for reminding me.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What the holy fuck are those bean boots all about?

11 years ago | Likes 667 Dislikes 13

New England, friend.

11 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Best winter boots ever, I have two pairs depending on what kind of snow

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

The original design for LL Bean boots is from early 20th century. There have been variants made but the classic design still sells well.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Awesome boots that have been co-opted by the leggings/trendy flannel crowd. Seriously, they're warm, they never slip on ice and they last.

11 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

pump your brakes kid, those boots are a national treasure

11 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 1

Duck Boots in the South. Bean Boots in Boston. I wear them with a suit when I go to court, because that's how acceptable they are up here.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

idk if other companies make them but L. L. Bean calls theirs bean boots. Pretty good deal, they come with a lifetime warranty.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

They are hand made in Maine and look great and feel great.

11 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

They are called duck boots. They are meant for cold weather, mud, puddles and snow. L.L.Bean is an American company that sells them.

11 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 0

I live down the road from Beantown. Also known as Freeport, Maine. :)

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Walking through things while it is cold.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

jesus fucking christ I just noticed them

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They basically go with anything and everything

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They're ugly unless you're dealing with some super serious wet weather.

11 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 5

They're about picking up the ladies...and LOTS of 'em!

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yea those look ugly as shit

11 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 15

They're also really, really good boots.

11 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I don't doubt it. Also that username is amazing

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah I would rather have some holy grails.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Welcome to Maine, bub

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Dry feet are happy feet.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

big with sorority girls too...

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I only have a pair because their my Dads. theyre good snow shoes and such. Idk, never heard anyone having a craze over them...

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

These are all the rage in the Northeastern US. Very uncommon in Europe, though. Not fabulous enough, non not at all.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

As a Bostonian, they're LL Bean Boots and make winter tolerable. Comfy. Dry. Warm. Everyone has them up here.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They look like typical winter boots to me. Like Sorels, we need them here!

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Looks like a cow fucked a welly.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I live in Michigan. I'm 28. I've owned a few pairs, they're warm and comfy.

Nah, sorels are different. These are by LL Bean, and they're not always fleece/fur lined.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I agree, Sorel's are an actual brand with a variety of styles; where I'm from we just generally call of these kinds of boots Sorels though.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Bean boots are made by LL Bean. Sorels are made by Sorel.

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I count zero beans, by my count.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Totally read that in a Trailer Park Boys-like fasion.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They're called duck boots, made by L.L. Bean. Every home in New England has at least three pairs, and they're guaranteed for life.

They're also great winter boots. I don't care how I look as long as my feet are warm.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Those bean boots are about repelling water and women!

11 years ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 9

I am a girl and I own bean boots. they're not cute.....

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

no they're actually pretty fashionable right now, so they're relatively ineffective at repelling women

11 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 4

Not all women. I love LL Bean boots, and they come in handy in CO sometimes.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

That's all I see anybody wearing in the Northeast! Ladies on arm and everything

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not quite, as a female I actually really like that shit on a guy.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's funny to me that so many people find these to be odd and ugly. Their totally normal and common where I live (Wisconsin, USA)

11 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

It's the colour combo on this picture that makes them looked odder than they are. I don't remember seeing anything like them in the UK.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah I'm actually from Maine so it's a pretty standard thing ovah heah

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think they mean LL Bean.

I'm just really annoyed with people throwing around words they don't understand.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Except you're kebab, and a Hipster.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

As someone from the Northeast, those boots are the SHIT in winter. And spring. Basically when everything is sludgy, they're fucking great.

11 years ago | Likes 110 Dislikes 0

They actually seem pretty useful now I'm aware of their purpose. They look better in different colours.

11 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Yeah, I have the dark brown ones, fleece lined ones, and I think they look better than this. Still...they're great.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Those are the originals that everyone had as a kid, and when you become an adult, realize its better to be dry + warm than fashionable.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Where I'm from they were called duck boots, cause they work on the ground and are good for water. I think hunters used em

11 years ago | Likes 155 Dislikes 0

Well I think those specifically are original LL Bean Maine Hunting Boots, or "Bean Boots" for short, but now lots of companies make em.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Where I'm from, they are called bean boots and you buy them in beantown and you wear them because they are good boots.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

As a hunter, I can confirm this. Mine are gortex lined and insulated as well. Awesome in cold, wet environments

11 years ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 0

Seconded! I've been wearing the same pair for like 5 or 6 years. I just replace the soles

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Took mine backpacking in Alaska....best article of clothing I brought. Wouldnt have made it without them

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They are incredible. I'll cry if they stop manufacturing them. They survived the Appalachian Trail, I'm sold.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They work on the ground? Aren't all shoes supposed to do that?

11 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 3

Welp you got me there

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

i think by "ground" maybe they meant grass/dirt? like, you don't wear heels to go hiking. but yeah, "ground" was a weird way 2 say it

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Nope! Some shoes are made from really thin materials, don't breathe, and won't be waterproof. Bean shoes are, thus they work well on ground.

11 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

Oh you're all so serious about shoes. I had no idea. I'm a girl.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I was kind of being flippant. But I'm impressed with the genuineness and warmth of your considered reply.

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Don't normal people just own ONE winter coat? And then you put it on top of whatever you own.

11 years ago | Likes 3008 Dislikes 39

Those people are not the target audience of these "outfit ideas" images.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Are you kidding? coats and jackets are the best. I have way more than I have cause to wear

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But they're just so expensive, and you only get to wear them outside.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What are you a farmer???

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have six coats. Four are different colors of pea coats. I'm a guy and love coats and scarves.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well yeah, but honestly, "normal people" often don't dress very nicely.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As a Minnesotan... One Carhartt jacket and a lot of flannel. Jacket only comes out below ~20F

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Apparently you've never been to Colorado in the winter...

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nope, like 4 coats and 5 hoodies. And I don't live in a terribly cold climate, I just baby wear my youngest over one and under another.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I have one, I only use it if I'll freeze to death without it. It's better to be cold than warm.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I don't own any winter coats. We have no real winter in southeastern georgia

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I live in the Upper Peninsula. It's winter 8 months of the year here. I own like 5 winter coats and a few fall coats

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not in NYC, people here are some of the most fashionably dressed winter clothed people I've ever seen.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think I have at least 6 or 7

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I never met any normal people.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have two. One is my actual, everyday coat (authentic m65) that I'll wear. The other is a pea coat for being fancy.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

boys...

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I own multiple heavy coats. They serve different purposes (one for heavy rain, one for just cold af, etc) and look different.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

also, 9 pairs of shoes?

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

that's how I've always done it, but don't count on me to say what "normal" people do...

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I have four winter coats. I have a problem. Please help me.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have 3. My California relatives assume that I must constantly be dying of cold in New York and constantly buy me things for winter

I have one coat. If it gets colder I put a sweater on, if it gets warmer I sweat, otherwise it's just fine.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

TIL I'm not a normal people.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Due to very different winter temperatures, I own several coats suitable for warm (7°C) to FUCKING COLD (-20°C or below) winters.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Nope i'm a coat whore! I have at leave 8 different kinds and thicknesses of coats (not including sweaters)

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Nope.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

*poor people

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Yeah, when you're in grade school.

11 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 3

I love hoodies. To me, hoodie collecting id the equivalent of shoe collecting. i live in the ghetto.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I own two. A dressy peacoat and a Carhartt for working outside/when winter means business.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

YES

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

i have 2 (but i live in chicago)....one for when its cold. and one for when its "No-i-dont-really-want-but-grrr-work-holy-jeebus-its-cold."

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Work coat, dress coat, casual coat. Coat I don't mind getting completely soiled. Denim jacket I don't wear because it's too small ... Huh.

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

In San Diego we don't know what winter is.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I don't even own 1!

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I own three. I live in Finland. Sometimes I wear all of them at once.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yea I just wear a hoody, lined hoody in the winter. The end.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not me. The only real variety in my wardrobe comes from different jackets, the pants and shirts mostly stay the same, lol.

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Special. So when you're inside you look the same (almost) everyday?

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have outside clothes and jammies. When I'm home I wear baggy shirts and sweats, lol.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Just one winter coat? But... but... Variety! Colours! Style! How can you manage with just one coat?

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Easy, I always buy quite plain coats in black or grey so that they go with everything. It's only for outside anyway.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not easy for me. I can't wear the same coat for -5 centigrade and -25 centigrade. There's a massive difference in insulation and fit, eg.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Those of us in FL tend to only have one...

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I guess this is saying "If you own a coat like this, this goes well with it."

11 years ago | Likes 54 Dislikes 2

But then you just don't wear the rest of your clothes the entire winter?

11 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 7

It's a suggestion, not a cop.

11 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 0

welcome to canada

11 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

There was a good period where I didn't even own a coat in the winter. Layering is your friend

11 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

snowboarders know dis

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

anyone who has spent time outdoors at all knows this.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I would wear the bigger sweaters over the smaller sweaters, and extra socks

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Thick flannel shirt + wool sweater + long underwear kept me good in -40C

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As a Texan, I own an assortment of light jackets and sweatshirts which become comically layered to fend off the occasional bitter cold (1/2)

11 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 1

As a Texan I own a ton of coats, but it's because I'm a transplant from the north, never wear them anymore

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As a Californian, jackets serve a real purpose and are not a fashion accessory?

11 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

As a Floridian. WTF is this?

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

When the temperature plunges below the frosty threshold of 50 degrees Fahrenheit. (2/2)

11 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

As a North Dakotan, 50 degrees Fahrenheit is still t-shirt weather.

11 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

born and raised in South Texas....below 70 is freezing.

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I'm from Dallas, so it gets slightly chillier up here. Only slightly though.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I live in Australia. A hot part of it. I have seven winter coats... I don't know what to do with them all.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No, people have multiple. If you live in a place that has winter.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I would say that Denmark most definitely have winter, and most people I know only own one winter coat at a time.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have the super warm army jacket/fuzzy sweatshirt combo for every day and a nice one for weddings/funerals/interviews

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Wow, I just realized that I'm so far from that point in life where you buy special things for weddings/funerals/interviews.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

its not a super fancy jacket either, its a plaid old navy peacoat. but its a hell of a lot nicer (and less warm) than my army jacket

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

and who needs two pairs of poop Brown pants?

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, I just have one.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

In the U.S., you have only one winter coat if you live south of the Mason-Dixon line.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

...this comment made me realizr that I have a thrift store coat problem.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I have a Carhart that I wear every single day of the winter unless I am going to a formal event where I would wear a peacoat

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I have 2. One for rain and one amazingly beautiful coat my husband bought me that was $500 and hand made for me. It's called a Dreamcoat...

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Seriously. Look them up. Etsy find. It's floor length with a looooong elf like hat. Crocheted with a silk lining and thumb holes. Love it

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

I have three. One for over -20°C, one for under -20°C and one for blizzards.

11 years ago | Likes 162 Dislikes 0

weak. I have 1 coat for all seasons. Blizzards just motivate me to get indoors quicker.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Sure, when you get ice ages I understand the need for several degrees of winter coats.

11 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

Sometimes it gets under 10C over here. =[ It's horrible.

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Hello fellow not-near-the-pole-ien.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

as a canadian, yup me too

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

yup, one for 10C to -10C, one for -10C to -30C and one for freezing.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Found the Canadian.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have a winter coat and a snow coat.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sounds like Canada

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yep, couldn't afford 3 coats for the same weather. My coats are for mild (0C to -15C), cold (-15C to -20C) and freezing (below 20C) weather.

11 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

I have a winter coat for below freezing, and just wear jackets for any cold above that.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Even tho I'm from Finland I couldn't imagine going out in the wintertime without a proper coat. You'd think one gets used to the cold but no

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Right? I envy people that can show up to nice events wearing dressy winter coats - and there I am in my enormous down parka.

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

This is a direct quote that my boyfriend uses, I have 23 and counting.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

23 winter coats?!

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yep, I like to be prepared for anything!

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have a serious problem with coats and cardigans. If I see one I like I just have to have it. I can never get enough of them. Send help

11 years ago | Likes 44 Dislikes 1

I went through a cardigan phase and now I have one of those plastic tubs that is 100% full of cardigans.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

LOL at your username and comment combination.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Do you pee on them?

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Or, send money?

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I have a closet for every season....

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

OH you're so cute.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

no you.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

OH shut up I am not.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

My philosophy is that you can never have too many coats or sweaters...NEVER...don't let anyone try to tell you otherwise.

11 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

Same. I have 2 closets. One for warm weather clothes, one for cold weather.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

you can. I too many coats and sweaters and no room for others clothes.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Space bags, my friend, space bags. I have 16 of them under my bed as we speak.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

that is actually sort of brilliant.
