I was just told today that I would "understand" homophobia when I had kids. I would get that I have to protect my children from them. Yeesh.

I chose not to have kids. My bro and his son live with me and I fill the "mom" role for my nephew. Wouldn't change it but don't want my own.

That's the second time today that my day was cheered up by a woman called Sarah

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

35 and I thought I'd have time, but I'm starting to shit bricks tbch.

Nothing says Girl power like refusing to do the one thing no man can. Seriously though...no feelings for or against this.

This is me

9 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 3

Samesies

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I hate people generally. A smaller version who cant look after itself and asks stupid questions would not be welcomed, thank you.

9 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 5

I'm using this in the future, if I have to give one more goddamn excuse. I will move on to simply 'I hate kids' if this doesn't work.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Funny because the girl who draws this isnt even 25 by now

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Is 23 the time to start ? Like honestly..

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You dont want kids? Thats ok. But dont get all condescending to people who do. Its a two way street.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 8

People will go to great lengths to justify their own decisions by making you repeat them. Babies, another shot of tequila,... same same.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I feel the same way as a man of 27. Just not for me.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Me and my wife both, thank the gods.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

To each her own. Thank God it's not my way or else.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

I like what my cousins did when my aunt pressured them to have kids. They got dogs instead.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

God I hope this is true.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

Ok?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

i want kids eventually, and if i cant i'll adopt. but stop pestering everyone to have a kid, were overpopulated as is.

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 3

Yes. I definitely do not want children, but if I change my mind, I'll adopt. Though mostly because my genes are shit and no kid needs that.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Its incredible how angry and aggressive people can get when you tell them you don't like kids.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I think its really selfish to bring another life into existence without asking them for their permission first

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 3

Right? We need to invent time machines for this exact reason

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Ok I need help: currently 18 and know I'd make a bomb ass grandma...but I don't want kids of my own lol ...any advice???

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

Nothing says you can't be friends with people younger than you, who do have kids.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Have siblings? You'll make a great aunt or uncle someday!

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Give out candy at playgrounds

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Adopt an adult with kids

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Time travel?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

As a dude, I decided I didn't want to be a parent while still in grade school. Got fixed at 30. No regrets.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I want kids, I just don't want them early. I want to wait until im at least 30-40. I want to enjoy my twenties with as much freedom

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Fair warning, having kids later in life increases the risk they'll have Down Syndrome (if you're a chick).

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

35 and engaged. We like spending all our disposable income on video games and crap.

9 years ago | Likes 48 Dislikes 2

36 and married. We travel the world, have a lovely quiet house & spend our time as we please. My husband is my best friend & I love my life.

9 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 2

God im so happy I found someone like this

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That sounds like my ideal life.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I'm not going to lie, anytime I step into a house with kids, the noise, all the toys and chaos, I cringe. That's not the life I want.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

I cringe too. Kinda nervous itll be hard finding a significant other who doesn't want kids as well.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Just be honest. What is more worrisome is the amount of women I've met that have openly admitted that they regret having kids. I'm tired 1/

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

2/ of being told you should/need to have kids. No you don't, you can have an amazing life without kids. And you shouldn't be shamed for it.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Imgur's anti-kids stance is annoying. I cant wait to be a mom.

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 23

Great! The issue is not you wanting kids. The issue is society pushing kids on those who don't. Telling us we are wrong or selfish.

9 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

Its the 21st century and "society" dgaf anymore.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 9

Ahaha! It's the same as it always was and will be. Everyone just gets to voice their annoying opinions now.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

I did change my mind. Just saying, I don't like kids generally, but it's different when you've made your own.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 4

I have met multiple women that have said that. I still remember my landlord 'I love my kids but if I had a 2nd chance I wouldn't have them'

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I mean, if you don't want kids, that's fine. People shouldn't pressure you into it, but it's also understandable that parents want grandkids

9 years ago | Likes 47 Dislikes 21

Understandable, maybe. But not any of their goddamn business. I mean unless they want to raise them, and also *deliver* them.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

"So you had me to get grandkids?" - me to my mother.

9 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 0

That's why I'm having kids.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 14

This was preceded by my mom stating she should have wished for me want to have kids along with being healthy and happy.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Little unfair to have expectations of them before you even know them as a person, isn't it?

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

My coworkers do it to me all the time. They have kids and talk about how awful child birth/ pregnancy was. I'm good. I'll get a dog

9 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 3

Dogs are awful. Get a cat. Or rather, no pets.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 6

I had a similar plan. Get a dog or a cat... or both. But after living with someone who have two dogs, I decided neither.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Gee, our parents want cute little babies to dote one without any actual responsibility this time around? Sure, I'll get right on that..

9 years ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 3

Sure? I mean, it's not a terrible thing to ask. Plus they raised you, didn't they? You don't OWE them grandchildren, though

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 20

After the way my parents raised me I REALLY don't owe them kids.

9 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

Fair enough. I'm sure not one to judge

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Right on! Also, stop telling me that having an only child is tantamount to child abuse, kthnx.

9 years ago | Likes 65 Dislikes 4

Yeah it's bizarre. I was basically an only child (one half sister, 16 years older than me, never lived with her) and I was happy about it.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yes please! My kud will be fine go away!

Your kid is saying she was lonely growing up.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

She has two older siblings.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Only children who have survived that terrible existence.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

you replied to the wrong comment man

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I'm drunk, man.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

cheers. im drowning in an ocean of nihilism

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I have friends that have siblings. The last thing in the world that I want is a sibling..

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Siblings are great. Siblings also suck. But overall, siblings are great. Until they start sucking.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I think it's mostly a case of "this is all I've ever known so I can't imagine it any other way". I did actually have siblings for a while.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Who the fuck says that?

9 years ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 1

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Complete strangers. Always. Other kids' grandmas at birthday parties. Assholes in general.

9 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 2

Fuck them. I'm an only child and I'm better off than everyone. Ever.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I don't want kids but I don't want to die alone.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 5

Just because you pop out a crotch nugget doesn't mean you won't die alone. Family can be shit but friends can be forever

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Try to die in a bus crash

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Aww, what a sweet idea.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Please dont be the driver though

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You seem well suited for a suicide bombing

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Not cool bro! You're gonna get me put on a list

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

In the end we all die alone.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

you dont need them in that regard tho???

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 4

I guess I could hire some strangers to surround me on my deathbed ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

"oh my good friends, Nancy... Carl... and... uh, Jimmy?" "Jack, sir." "Oh yes, yes, Jack...."

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As a nurse, yes you do. Nice to see families there at the end, sad when dying patients are alone because they don't have kids/family.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

means to an end. Family means different things for different people. A family doesnt by necessity mean kids. Could be friends or whatnot.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

In my late 20s and friends are having babies. Friends in their 30s say to wait as long as you can. I think my hubs and I are gonna wait.

9 years ago | Likes 84 Dislikes 4

This. 23 most my friends are 1-3 babies in. Or married. Here i am. Just being. Wanting to chill. My friend said its better that young but no

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Im going to wait until the day before i die

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

There can be serious medical complication is you wait past 35 for your first. The risk of birth defects jumps drastically with older parents

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

My boss was mid 40s when her son was born. Said it took her at least 5 yrs to fully recover.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

you do you, boo.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I'm 23 and I've been seeing friends getting married and having kids as young as 20. What the fuck is going on?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

A generation ago, getting married and having kids that young was the norm.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Don't wait too long though. You want to be physically capable and working while they're in university right?

9 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

I'm from a country where university is free, so I'd rather be ready to retire as soon as they leave the nest.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I was 42 and my wife was 40. Glad we waited.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I dont want kids past 35. I know women who had kids older and it was a lot tougher.

9 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 1

It can't hurt to stay in great shape. Hit the gym a lot.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My neighbours spend so much effort on their kid they forgot about their cat until we pointed out it had amassed a mass grave of birds.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My mother had me when she was 37, lots of headaches due to illness as a child causing me to have "should have died" moments at least 10 time

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

it's scary. I want kids more than anything but I'm 27 and I've only managed a single disastrous date. :/

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Im 31 and have found the love of my life but he's not someone i want to raise kids with (right now anyway) :(

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Idk about women but my dad was 40 when I was born and it was nice. He was more advanced career wise and spent a lot of time with us kids.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Pregnancy at 40+ is not something I want to experience.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I don't think I want to experience it at all

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Friends of mine just had their first. In their mid-50s. On purpose.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

DAMN.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I've got a cousin who's a kid of older parents. Aunt was 45, uncle was 50-something. They spoiled the shit out of him and he's clinging 1/2

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

To them financially. Hope they don't do the same. 2/2
