A rare trip to Chick Fil A (there aren’t any around me....thankfully lol) Before it’s asked 100 times why I’m standing by a grill...I was getting ready to bbq and my friend surprised me with some Chick-Fil-A IG: GriffGetsFit

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

WTH is a "Faygo?" Congo rats on the weight loss, may it stay off for as long as you take it. :)

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's a soda...er...pop brand brand pretty specific to us michiganders! Delicious, diabteetus inducing stuff.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Soda was right. Pop is what my joints do now. :P

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Soda is right, but most people here are on the "pop" wagon. We're an odd bunch.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Same shirt both pics?

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

No 7xlt and 4xlt I wear a 2xlt now

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Superb job! Just one question... of all the things to be grilling, why grape faygo? XD

5 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Must be a Detroiter...Faygo BBQ is every Thursday night. Great with a splash of cilantro and vinegar on it.

Thanks...I aspire to make my kids gag with my fake "recipes" Ketchup flavored Kool Aid, Apple Pie with Onion etc.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Lol was Cola. Haven’t touched pop in 22 months thankfully (my biggest issue)

5 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Nice. I was going to asked if you cut that garbage out of you life.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

@OP, were you hungry a lot during the weight loss phase? And are you hungry a lot in maintenance?

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I just started seeing a doctor to help with my weight loss and the biggest thing has been eating a lot more protein and not starting /1

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

the day with major carbs. For example no oatmeal or bananas for breakfast. I’ve been doing eggs and either cottage cheese or Greek yogurt./2

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It’s helped a lot with being hungry. If I do get hungry I just grab a protein bar(power crunch is the best IMO) or a protein shake.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You mean you get less hungry later if you don't take in carbs in the morning? Just want to check if I got that right

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yes! I’m guessing it has to do with blood sugar being more even but that’s just a shot in the dark. Plus protein provides increased satiety.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hungrier now more than I was during. I had a lot stored in my so my body ate it lol

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Any surgery or pure diet as you said. You did amazing !

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Dang man. Props for gutting through it. I hope that goes away soon in a new homeostasis

5 years ago | Likes 277 Dislikes 0

Sober SteveO actually looks pretty great.

5 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Sobriety has made him humble and wise. My fav story of him was when he rescued an abandoned street dog. Melted my heart!

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Wendy the wonder dog. That was a great story.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Oh no bIg Jackass fan lol

5 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Quick question. I'm starting my journey to lose weight but I'm nervous about the loose skin. How bad did it get for you? Any advice?

5 years ago | Likes 383 Dislikes 0

dated a guy that lost a lot of weight. He was self conscious & kept a compression tank on in the bedroom. It was honestly no big deal to me

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not saying anything about losing weight, just here to say how awesome you all are supporting Fattbeard. Quality stuff happening here.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Buddy of mine went from 600+ to 270, and honestly he says just get the skin surgery if you can afford it.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

do it

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Me too! My biggest fear!

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I just think of it as battle scars. Lost 150lbs and there's a little bit, but your body feels so much better, almost euphoric really.

5 years ago | Likes 39 Dislikes 0

Moisturize!!!! I went from 145 to 90 kilos and i have no loose skin. Also, weightlifting so you dont get batwings under your arms

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

@Fattbeard lose the weight, the loose skin sucks but being extremely overweight sucks worse.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

So true , 140lbs down here . Don t worry about lose skin worry about full skin ..loose skin really isn't a problem and certainly not an excu

5 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

It would be cool if Imgur could get behind gofundme’s for skin surgery removal. I feel weird donating to individuals because you never >

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

> know where the money could be actually going or how people could take advantage, but if the platform acted as a go-between for those >

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

> individuals and the hospitals or something, that would be pretty amazing. It’s so expensive but the work it takes to get to that point >

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

> is so impressive, especially shared to a place where we’re all sitting on our asses endlessly scrolling, haha

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I’m rooting for u @Fattbeard

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I've lost about 175 pounds so far, down from 400, but my man I'm sad to say its a gamble. I have a lot of loose skin. It's gonna stick 1/?

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

around. Getting muscle definition helps. I do a lot of weights and bodyweight strength training to get muscles filling out but if you have 2

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

enough skin its just gonna stay. It may go in a few years, I've yet to see that, but it might. If its very excessive, surgery will be 3/

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

solution. Sucks if it's that way but until then, just worry bout gettin healthy chum. Trust me, it's easier every day 4/4

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Lots of water, work on putting muscle into areas where sagging to help fill it out. Other than that it’s really a genetic lottery. Good luck

5 years ago | Likes 81 Dislikes 0

Yep, women have to deal with this when they have babies (on a lesser scale than OP obviously). My babies were huge and that extra skin is /1

5 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

probably never going away. It is what it is. Supposedly if you lose weight slowly, the skin has a better chance at decreasing along with /2

5 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

the weight. Not an option during childbirth, of course. /3

5 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

Ah honestly man I have a good 20-30 pounds of lose skin. It is what it is. Would I rather have the lose skin than the 475 pounds back? 100%

Thanks will look into it for sure

5 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 0

It's not a good enough excuse to not loose weight. I see this posted often. IF, autophagy is supposed to help.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I’m nearly 170 down and the loose skin is 100% worth it. I don’t feel that way all the time, but most of the time I don’t care to much.

5 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

Which means you're not far away from another 20-30 lb loss.

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I agree with you, Op. I lost a lot less, but had a good amount of excess skin. I'd never trade back, though. I got a lot taken off later.

5 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

Do a Homer Simpson and bull dog clip it all behind your back.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This is the perfect response bro. Get healthy, Stay healthy!

5 years ago | Likes 426 Dislikes 0

Amen dude

5 years ago | Likes 73 Dislikes 0

Yeah loose skin seems like the least of my worries, this is a phenomenal job!

5 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

Yea grand scheme of things its good but it can bother me sometimes for sure. I would be a size or 2 clothes size smaller which would be nice

5 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

But now you can use it to glide short distances like a flying squirrel.

5 years ago | Likes 298 Dislikes 1

Ya!

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I could go for miles lmao

Yikes

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Thanks, I hate it.

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Oh god the sound makes it even worse

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I know, isn't it great?

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Can you like... Sell the loose skin for research/grafts/handbags?

5 years ago | Likes 95 Dislikes 1

Replicas of the spell book from Hocus Pocus

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I do leather binding...

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I sure hope you're putting the lotion on the skin before you get the hose again.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh Shit! What was the dogs name? Princess?

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Sounds right. no time to research, sorry.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Can you eat it for nutrients? Like when I shed?

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

You could..

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I am hoping to donate it to or a burn center or something similar. The procedure is very expensive and very painful

5 years ago | Likes 141 Dislikes 0

They should do it for free or a big discount if you donate. They're sure as hell gonna charge a arm and a leg to the people who receive it

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Shit that should mean they do it for free esp if they’re gonna sell it at crazy prices to help those in need

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Wow! Dude I didn't even know that was a thing. What a rare and amazing thing to be able to donate. I'd throw a few bucks at your gofund me.

5 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Then they will skin you alive

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I would donate to that gofundme

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Scarring?

5 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 0

There is scarring. I have a scar from one side to the other and from mid waist to about 15cm above belly button. Fades after a while though
