We found this girl while out for a walk on 12-4-17. We checked with the surrounding houses in our neighborhood, but none of them were her home.
We are posting flyers similar to this in our area tomorrow, 12-6-17 (It lists our phone numbers)
In the small chance that they browse imgur, we figured we would post this.
Please help us find this dogs home!

"Hello human. I am a doggo, and I am so losto"

"Will you please help me find my home?"

Friendly four month edit: Nobody claimed her. We found her a home. It’s our home. We love her like a child. She is an absolute sweet heart. We have named her Lilo. Thank you everyone for the support and help when I fist posted this! You all are amazing people!

Final edit: Our sweet Lilo passed away in my arms on October 31st 2020. I miss her every single day. She was a an amazing companion. I consider myself lucky to have had Lilo in my life.

Is there a local pet finder Facebook, or even a buy and sell? That's a good way to reach a lot of people, and get a lot of shares.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

We did post on The “Lost & found cats and dogs of York county, SC” Facebook page. It has gotten some shares so far.

Thanks for bringing her in. AND letting her on the couch. :) Take to vet, scan for chip.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

That’s right, I forgot about the chip! Thanks for the reminder!

"GSD with black and tan coat" well golly gee willigers that eliminates about fuck all out of all immediately identifiable GSDs. /s

Twist, the dog ate the family.

Putting up “Brown and Black Coat” may not be the best description for a German Shepard. Put up pics from the side.

Vet can check for chips & local animal shelters & vets have probably been called

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

have you checked Craigs lost and found and the pets section?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

We have yes. Nothing has been posted there yet.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Is the "USA" necessary? If someone if far enough away to not know what the SC means, they aren't going to be within lost-pet range.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Probably not necessary, but you never know.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You never know man!

@OP ask for some PROOF of ownership. Prior photos, ask the dog's name and see if it responds, find a scar they can name, anything. People

Good examples! We will make sure to do this.

are sometimes scum and will lie and steal a dog that's not theirs for Nefarious Purposes™.

8 years ago | Likes 39 Dislikes 0

Do I want to know why that's trade marked? I'm concerned...

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I tried to trademark nefarious purposes so no one could ever do evil again. Without paying me a fee, ofc. For some reason it didn't work.

Hi from Rock Hill. Hope she gets home

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This is why you get your dog tattooed and rfid chipped so vets can identify the owner if the dog gets lost without a tag.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Of course it didnt matter with my dog. Mother fucker was too fast for anyone to catch. He came back when he felt like it.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Have you called your local police station? They will help out. And checked for a chip?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Haven’t called the police station, but we will now! We will be checking for a chip tomorrow when we take her to the vet.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Not sure how popular nextdoor social network is in your neighborhood. But anytime there is a lost animal, our neighborhood posts there.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

We will look into this.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not taken it to the vet to see if she's chipped?

8 years ago | Likes 347 Dislikes 2

Home from the vet now. She has a chip, but it's unregistered. Going to post fliers in the surrounding neighborhoods and report to vets, ect.

8 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

You are good people. Hoping for the best.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Totally forgot about the chip! Thank you for the reminder!

You should also call Pet Village to see if he escaped from being a haircut right there

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That will charge you for it... And probably give the dog an exam... And charge for that without even asking. Go to a shelter n donate

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 12

Go to a Petsmart on their VIP vet days (usually once or twice a week), they have scanners so you can get a number.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

wow, salty much? You must've picked a bad vet

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Just, like, call and ask 'hey, would you charge me for use of your chip reader?' if they do, go to local pd, they always have several

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Our local vet did it for free. The dang chip was unregistered though. So back to posting fliers and calling around.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Did you find the doggos home?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not yet. :(

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

also go to pounds with these pictures/information - think about the places you would go if you lost your pet

8 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 0

If there's no chip it's a good idea to withhold a piece of info (like collar color) so that you know you're dealing with the actual owner.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

There should be a local lost pets network on FB that you can post her to. Get in contact with all shelters, rescues & vet clinics within 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

50 miles. If someone claims to own her, make sure they provide recent pictures of her, as MANY shitty people will jump at the chance to 2/3

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

get a purebred GSD female, especially if she might not be spayed. I'm sure someone is looking for her if she's well-behaved and trained. 3/3
