7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

ok but WHYYYYYYY? I need to know what makes felines so stupid for boxes? What is it?

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's a thing to sit on and usually a thing to hide inside.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Cat Fact : *all* felines, big and small, like close-fitting spaces ; their sense of balance is tied to their fur, being snuggled is calming.

It has indeed something to do with nesting instinct too ... as for cardboard in particular, someone else already said it : heat and comfy.

I visited their sanctuary! Highly recommend if you're ever in Tampa. Tons of well treated big cats.

Most zoos will Mark the boxes with different scents to encourage the cats. Also, provides enrichment for the fuzzball.

It offers concealment in a small, comfortable zone. It makes it more difficult to be spotted (usually). It's evolutionary.

It works on humans then too cuz I'd get stoked when my parents got something shipped and i got to play with the box after

7 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

When my parents bought new washing and drying machines my sister and I brought them to our room and slept in them instead of our beds

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

why did we never domesticate big cats? I mean dogs are great and all but cats are so much better!

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

In some countries they keep cheetahs, but they are not domesticated. I guess the reason is the temper and the strong instinct to kill. 1/2

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Dogs hunt in groups most kitties do it in a solo. Domesticated cats bring dead mice & birds, those would bring dead postmen once in a while

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

serves those postmen right for acting all prey like
