Yesterday we mega-coded this patient for 3 hrs. He had an aortic aneurysm that ruptured while he was on the CT table. He recieved 26 units of blood, 6 rounds of CPR, the works. The family wanted everything done. He died 6 minutes after his family came to see him.

On a side note, ed staff got a pass on anything as long as it didn't breach policy. I still take my kid to that hospital if she needs it.
