The idea for this custom Sinanju came to me after I finished Pokemon Legends: Arceus. The final battle with "The Alpha" Pokemon was so cool that it quickly became one of my favorites :) The base model is the Takumi Studio dress-up kit for the MG Sinanju and the wings are from MS General Zhuge Liang. I've always wanted to do a custom with crazy angel wings, but I did not want to use the usual Wing Zero Custom wings. The staff is from Kotobukiya MSG Alnair Rod and the floating elemental plates were designed, 3d printed, and painted by me! Photographing this build was surprisingly tricky; I had to adjust the position of my lamps a lot in order to avoid harsh glare on the gold bits. I've included additional photos in the end showing some work in progress. Enjoy!

This display base was a big project on its own, only for me to not use it in the end. I wanted to recreate Spear Pillar and use this as it's base, but I just was not liking how it affected the composition of the build.
I felt like the build needed more color, but I did not want to compromise the color scheme. The elemental plates were the last ingredient for this build and to make them from start to finish was quite the journey in itself. My idea for the plate design was something that could only reasonably be done with the help of a 3D printer. I bought an Anycubic Mono 4K printer early last year, so this was a good opportunity to learn some 3D modelling with blender. Because it was a complex design, I needed to separate them for ease of surface prep work and painting.
Successful print! Everything was printed using Anycubic High clear resin.
The prints came out okay, but after washing and running them through the curing machine they got extremely foggy. It took several coats of gloss coat to get them clear again.
Painting the gold and clear colors. This really brought them to life. They look like candy! The round parts are not printed; they are instead hemisphere pearls that I painted over.
Making the mount for them was also a challenge. Because the plates were transparent, the mounting parts also needed to be clear. I used a combination of acrylic rods (bent/shaped by heating) and custom made and printed brackets. Not the prettiest from this angle, but it will be hidden hehe.
One subtle detail I did for the green parts of the Sinanju. Candy green I felt would have been a little too plain or toy-like. So I tried doing a marble effect instead to make it more interesting. The second picture is a used up dryer sheet.
Here is the marble effect on the staff up close. Not too noticeable, but I like it ?

Sorry, Remo and Chuin remain the only Sinanju for me.

I bet my .01" model can get into his rectum and tickle his prostate.

The painting however is quite impressive, so great job! still had to mention the rectum thing.

So that's clearly Angemon inspired right? Like I'm not the only one to see him right.

My first thought when seeing this was "That's a mech Angemon"
