Dude, just put your money in sock under your mattress and let the grown-ups do the investing.

Just invest in gold, silver, or oil. Or booze. Booze always does good.

You must be investing wrong. 6 months ago I started doing stocks with $100. To date I've earned almost $3500

I'm legitimately curious how. Got any pointers you're willing to share for someone looking to start?

Discover how in these simple steps.

I speak from experience, the money that you plan to invest in stocks, take it to Las Vegas and gamble it away, at least you'll enjoy it!

And the drinks are free.

Someone won your money. For every dollar that is 'lost' someone 'won' it.

That presupposes it's a zero sum game, if the companies you own grow, your piece of the pie grows too.

Yes, inflation. I was thinking trading on the commodities markets.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes, the day traders

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Unless you are doing penny stocks you are unlikely to run into a lot of day traders. More likely huge companies full of professionals.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes I'm referring to the pros, the ones that buy in the morning and sell in the afternoon, or buy on Monday and sell on Friday

Day trading and swing trading are different.

Unless you do research... you can at least guarantee 1% compound interest.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

You will lose out to inflation. Savings bonds are higher than 1% and totally secure.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Inflation doesn't work on compound interest... it's flat... which makes a huge difference.

And that would be a fairly conservative, not all that long term investment.

I know this guy, poor sap lost his life savings!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I chose the option of shitty life partner to accomplish that, wonder what his foolish method was.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yes, but the luck factor is a very real danger!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

Some investments are guaranteed... such as a CD... which would have 1% or more return in many cases.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Have one cd account for almost ten years now!

Wish I were old enough to have such a thing.
