my point is it actually matters where those people that didn't vote were. if the 47% of people that didn't vote in CA all voted for Harris that wouldn't have changed the election results. historical trends also matter. WI voted trump in 2016, Biden in 2020, and Trump again in 2024. so him winning there by a small margin with the highest voter turnout in the nation tracks with that trend.
