There's more to the story!

FP Edit: Wow that escalated quickly!
To address the few people who actually mentioned it - the title of the post refers to the models in the photo because they come from that ‘dead meme’ some time ago.
Also, for the overly concerned people - when I was a child I predominantly listened to the then current music. Right now I appreciate the pre 2000 music more.
Sorry if I made you feel archaic.

Second edit: Please go ahead and recommend me music that makes you feel better, or is generally close to your heart.

What's my age again, what's my age again.

I do this with books and movies.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'm an 'old soul', born in 80s but never fit in anywhere. I'm satisfied with timeless instrumentals, soundtracks, and traditional choral.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Wait until recent music all starts sounding like regurgitated trash. That’s where I’m at now.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Wait, are you sure it's not just trash?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well now that I think about it. You’re right.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I didn't know there was a girl version of this meme

Music from the 2000s was largely shit, and even though it's "my" music, age wise, I still listened to Tom Petty, CCR, Pink Floyd, good stuff

I'm 33 on Wednesday. ☺️ Happy early birthday!

"It'll happen to you, too!" Abe Simpson

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I dont even listen to the radio anymore I have to consciously go out and look for new music..which generally is just music from old artist

8 years ago | Likes 144 Dislikes 3

TBH that's the best kind

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I do, but it is tuned to stations that play the old stuff. Nothing non-mainstream really comes on tho. Even "old country" stations...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Same, I never listen to the radio only way I know what music people are listening to is Spotify’s “today’s top hits” playlist

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It isnt "old" and "new" music. Its the genres and whats popular. You like classic rock? Go find a classic rock radio station. You like that

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Grime trash? Go find a grime station. Etc.etc

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hunting for those rare unreleased, B-sides, covers & compilations from yesteryear is fun yet desperately sad isn't it? I do it everyday ????

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I listen only to sports talk because the guys here are funny. My 8 year old keeps me updated on current music.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Whats a radio?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Pepperidge Farm remembers.

"What's a computer" - Apple

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Haven’t turned car/home radio on in ages, just don’t like what the stations are pushing off as music.

That's what it must be like, getting old ...

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Yes, I am getting old, I like old, and new music, not a fan of rap at all, or what is passed off as country. I miss the musical talent.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

In times when we have spotify, youtube, soundcloud just to name a few, if you can't find good new music the problem is without a doubt you.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 19

Whatever. Try listening to An Endless Sporadic.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

He just said he didn't listen to radio, bro. Chill.

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

I just made a statement. Is everyone else so emotionally unstable that it's impossible to comprehend someone being calm while commenting?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 11

And i was speaking about finding music in general. Keep your high horse in the stable. And i'm not your bro.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 11

Ah the imgur "born in the wrong generation"-circlejerk. Pretentious asshats..

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Random comment. Did I say I had a problem finding good new music?

8 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 1

Well you mentioned making an effort to find new music and that it mostly ends up being from old artist. Finding music has never been easier

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 8

So if you have trouble finding good music from modern artists it's because of an attitude not modern music. I was talking in general.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 8

Yea making an effort because I generally just listen to my mp3 player and I search for artist I know because I dont know random band names

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've never listened too.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

There are good radio stations, listener powered KEXP for example

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

KCDX in Arizona is owned by some guy who just plays his record collection. B-sides and other rare stuff. No commercials either.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Spotify, man. Great way to find new music. Enter a search for a favorite artist and let the app make a playlist. Ive found SO much good shit

8 years ago | Likes 45 Dislikes 4

Or Last.fm

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But none of it will every be as meaningful to you as the music of your youth.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They have that too. I love music, so the new is just as good as the old!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

YouTube music is also really good about bringing in new music you would actually like, plus you can find those really obscure artists.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Same with Spotify though. Obscure is more or less my taste. I use YouTube alot for videos.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yup I just rapid fire next till I hear things that catch my ear

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

< Ive also had fun looking up my old music from High School and beyond.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I prefer Pandora for finding new music

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

I've used both. I prefer the former.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Spotify is the shit, so many ways to find new music I could spend 8 hours a day everyday looking for new stuff

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Discover weekly has been my angel. All my music is stuff that peeps ain’t never heard of and it’s awesome and I got it from discover weekly

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Yes discover is awesome! Also I’ve used Spotify radio before but recently learned the if you pick one of the genres it puts the music you

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Listen to that fits that genre and also similar music to those artists/new stuff and it’s amazing. Hours of new good stuff to listen to

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If you consider that ad riddles shit free

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0
