at that point the purpose of having fun isnt even viable

Loveland was closed today because of the road conditions

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My 17” dumps don’t attract those types of crowds.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Fuck that noise

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I took a 17" dump and nobody was interested....here they're lined up for it?

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

I grew up in Colorado, and frequently got the side-eye from people when I told them I prefer backcountry to downhill skiing. This is why.

This world needs a plague!

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

I’d just put my ski patrol jacket on and tell them there is an accident. Not that I do that at my resort.... never.

6 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 2

Nothing compared to what I-70 looks like Sunday afternoon.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

And then they all get into a wreck on i70 on sunday

6 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 2

.5 inches of snow and they’re all in the goddamn ditch.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Looks like the line at the releaf center in Niles, MI.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

This kind of makes me want to strap pieces of slippery sticks to my feet and slide around, looks like lots of people like doing it.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Go to the back bowls!!

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This is why we ski Monarch

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

17" = holy f'ing Grail. One hour wait for fondola, then ski other lifts rest of day. Ppl wait 2+ hrs for a single 3 min roller coaster...

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

We need another plague

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I would stand in that line for some fresh powder

6 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

You could go to any of the other resorts in Colorado and still get the fresh powder. The snow is falling like crazy.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My head hurts... I been watching this 5 mins... how long is it?

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Imagine what I-70 looks like.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You'd think they would limit the amount of tickets they sell.. That mountain is beyond full.

6 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 1

I'm sure they tell people "the wait for a lift is currently 3 hours." And people still gladly pay for the privilege

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Man I’ve been to vail and there was a little blizzard which was uncomfortable. But there is no way I would stand in this. I’d be havin fun

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Who are all these people who can afford $200+ lift tickets? Geeze...

6 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

It’s cheaper if you get a pass. Like $700 gets you access to a bunch of mountains.

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I'm guessing that's one of the first gondollas out of lions head for first tracks? line only going to get smaller from there?

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

It’s Gondola #1, in the village.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If I had a 17" dump I don't think people would be queuing up for it... x

If? Where's your spirit? Reach for your dreams!

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

There are freaks out there....hell there are freaks on here....that would.

6 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

There's a guy who contracted HIV from eating another fetishist's poop that they shared through the mail.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

How do you know this? Why? Why do you know this?

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

On the list of things you wish you could go back in time and share with the Internet's original creators. "Look what wonders your invention

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

will some day allow!"

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

... ... ... ... ... "We know. Why do you think we're doing all this??"

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I don't ski, but that really doesn't look worth the time.

6 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 2

Ditto

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And the +$200 you paid for the privilege

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Vail is more like a multi thousand dollar trip but yeah

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That’s the cost of a lift ticket, is my point.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

One of several reasons I don't ski at Vail anymore.

6 years ago | Likes 173 Dislikes 5

Never seem to run into much of a crowd at Loveland. Less resorty than Copper, but I definitely like the runs at copper more.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I still have my Vail Sucks shirt from 90s

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Steamboat is nice. New resort corp is kinda shite, but the mountain is awesome.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Sunny day at Ski santa fe over Vail anyday

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Anything but Vail now.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Copper Mountain baby!

6 years ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 0

Honeymooned there! Opening day 2011

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Would rather monarch, it is usually less crowded and accommodates more to more advanced runs.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Taos

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I was there when they had 3 feet. I really don't recall lines like that. I'll never forget it. I got HAPE that day.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

A lot of people are scared of snow and want the runs groomed. Get out of here with that BS.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Get out of here with that BS? What is happening? If this weren't the internet, I'd buy you a scotch/ tea/ beer/ whatever and be nice.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What? I don't know what you're getting at.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Fuck Vail, Aspen, sun valley, etc. Bunch of rich assholes who can't comprehend what it's like to be a decent human

6 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 2

Yeah but being a dick back is fun

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I’m a big fan of crested butte myself.

6 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 1

Me too but that's a hell of a drive from vail

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Lift line or car time? I'll take the car. Knees hurt less

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's just not very realistic when its dropping like that. Better off trying Copper or A basin

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I’ll crest your butte

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hon hon hon

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It snowed here in a Texas Wednesday night, about a 1/4", that's about the most I've ever seen.

6 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

Do you live in San Angelo?

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Austin

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Del rio

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

$209 day lift ticket

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

I remember when everyone was complaining about 70 dollar a day passes there.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

That's another one of the reasons. Season passes are like $1000.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

They were $500 20 years ago, great deal either way if you went once a week

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

And thats a steal. Most big resorts are that much now. Epic pass creates these big rushes.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Breckinridge all day

6 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

Peak 7!

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Fuck that. Ill just crawl up.

6 years ago | Likes 997 Dislikes 3

I'm going to stay inside and be happy warm potato.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Or hear me out... a 4x4 truck and a rope and just be dragged behind it on a country back road

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Vale is so expensive compared to copper head, and I had a blast with less wait time.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Skin up :)

6 years ago | Likes 50 Dislikes 3

That's the spirit. But head to vail pass instead (or elsewhere)

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I was thinking about going to Loveland today. Stayed inside though :(

6 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

They closed due to there wind

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Fuck that. I'll just stay indoors. It's warm here, and I don't have to pay money to stand in line.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Snowshoes babay!

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

You mean slowshoes. Get some AT skis and skins and you'll hate slowshoes.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've never been skiing how feasible is it to go up without the lift?

6 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

It isn't.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Sure it is, skins.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I’d guess it’s possible but you gotta take the skis off

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Better yet get AT or tele skis with skins

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yes. Helicopter.

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Easy there Kobe Bryant

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

It is not.

6 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

Except that it is, I ski uphill all the time in the backcountry.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Is*

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

If you wanna spend the day hiking at high altitude, go for it. Don't expect multiple runs tho.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Fuck that ....I d go elsewhere...Taos or Angelfire....anywhere these people aren’t.

6 years ago | Likes 61 Dislikes 1

I went to copper mountain. Seemed good to me, not a big skier but first real mountain experience

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah just a quick short walk over from Vail

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

How's the skiing in Angel Fire? My parents retired there so will be spending some time skiing there. Love it there

6 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

It's pretty good. Wolfcreek is my favorite in that general area... Depending on what you're looking for Taos is better

6 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I've heard there aren't as many beginner slopes in AF, is that true. I'm not very good lol

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Really depends on where you learned to ski / are used to. I went from skiing the SW to Midwest at one point. Their black diamonds were my

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Jesus you’d fit three runs in a day

6 years ago | Likes 359 Dislikes 3

If that was the only one, you'd probably be lucky for 2, given how slow it loads. But yeah, most ppl would get to an area and use chairs

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They have so many lifts and runs once you got up it wouldn’t be an issue

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

So fucking worth it. Vail in these conditions is incredible. + long runs and plenty of less populated lifts.

6 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 2

2

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Jesus can't help you.

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

He can if he's got a snowmobile, amirite?

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Forty minute runs though

6 years ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 3

Try Whistler/Blackcomb. 45 minutes of high speed quads to get to the top. Easy hour plus to the bottom at any sane speeds

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Jesus, how slow do you ski? It usually takes 10

6 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 3

I usually fall down a lot so it takes a little longer.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Once you're up, there's plenty of chairs mid-mtn or on the backside so you don't have to come to the base until the end of the day.

6 years ago | Likes 118 Dislikes 1

Does that mean you have to stop somewhere mid-trail and start back up at the top? Sounds quick and un-fun

6 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 9

Not necessarily - you can down the backside

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

there are whole other sections of the mountain, this is just the biggest, lowest lift that gives access to the rest

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Ah, I see. From the gathering, it looked awfully crowded. I would have chosen a different mountain!

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

yeah, definitely still looks bad haha (especially in the cold)

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The mountain is huge. Multiple peaks and miles upon miles of runs and corresponding lifts.

6 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

I've only been to one mountain ski trail once in my life. Sounds like fun!

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

If you get the chance, I'd highly recommend it. Though maybe not Vail. I like Breckenridge and Copper.
