Perspective is too fucked up for me.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

5000 shades of gray.

That isn't talent, that is hard work and skill.

Thanks for adding the source @OP

As an Architectural and Industrial Illustrator, this would be something I would love to render. Need to blend the lower left better.

Cybertron

Its kind of weird when i can identify the pencil in posts like this. Thats a pentel P205 mechanical drafting pencil.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It makes me think of a plate on a Culture orbital. Not that they would go to the bother of putting a city that large on one, of course.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Reminds me a little of Stephen Wiltshire: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=gWTeSvCOFyE

FUCK YOU AND YOUR TALENT, jk I'm just a jealous useless piece of shit.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is definitely Melbourne, right guys? No MCG but I can see The Shrine of Remembrance and the museum. Unless I'm going crazy...

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I was thinking London, though the skyscrapers don't match.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My wrist hurts by just looking at this. Such beautiful hard work

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

patience, hardwork or talent ?this allways confusion me

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I don't wanna be 'that guy', but the perspective is seriously messed up.

9 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 3

Not really...not everything always goes to one vanishing point in perspective. He's forcing perspective on the city to a sphere.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Looks like it might be copied from a frame of one of those Super IMAX dome movies, that is filmed with a really large fish eye lenses.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Maybe there's an orb shaped tumour coming out of this particular planet?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The upper left and right is really skewed

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I agree...the ESCHER pherizing works, but the bottom left of the city does'nt quite blend into the sphere.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yup

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Much detail. So skill. Wow.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's a funny looking Death Star..

9 years ago | Likes 105 Dislikes 2

My thought exactly

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It looks more like a small moon to me

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

That's no moon

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Reminds me of Coruscant

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I thought the same thing... I was like "That's no moon..."

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That's no moon

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Looks similar to some other city perspective art I saw where there was a metallic flare theme to it. Nicely done.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I didn't know it nigga. Calm your tits

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Who holds their pencil like that?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Someone posing for a shot?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Do you ask because he's holding it so far back? When you do that you can make lighter strokes a lot easier. What a random observation

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not sure if it's the actual artist here, but it looks very similar in style https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kvcnZFu35xU

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Correction my bad not the same guy

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Given that this is one-point perspective, it's actually technically less impressive than it looks. A hideous amount of work, though.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Okay then you do it.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I could, given enough spare time. How much are you paying me?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This kind of art is cool because I'm sure there are some little details hidden in there that make the artist and those that find them smile.

Together my friend! Onward to victory!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Like how I hide a dick and "assholes" in every brochure I design for my job.

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

How do you do this? It might make my job more enjoyable.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

"Assholes" goes white on white or spread 1 letter per page (as in numbering). Dicks are made with interletter spaces or paragraph shapes.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

That's disappointing as I do almost no type setting.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Please post some examples!
