"How nice of you to say. But you of all people should know... there's plenty wrong with me."

Jared Leto, the Fuckboy

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 5

Leto just looks like Marilyn Manson circa 2003.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

"The Juggalo"

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Jared Leto's performance was more of a Thug to me. Wasn't a fan.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Leto was basically a mix of Ledger and Nicholson but if neither of those actors understood how the Joker worked.

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 6

I believe Jack Nicholson was better than Heath Ledger.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Jared Leto, the Hot Topic salesman

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Yes! Batman Animated Series was the best!

The anarchist all the way!! Best joker IMO.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

those adjectives belong to all jokers...

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Since Leto's Joker was never fleshed out, it's hard to say, but it seemed like they were going for some of the gangster elements too.

9 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

agreed. also, joker has always had a gangster element in him

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Shouldn't he be called "The Pimp" rather than "The Psychopath".

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I often wonder if the world would be so wet-tongued about Ledger's Joker if he hadn't died. Good, but I don't like the film overall

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes... Mark Hamill's a great Joker voice. But not the best to cast for the role live action.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Mark hamill played a joker like character in the flash series. It's on Netflix (great show) and he even makes a subtle Star Wars reference.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Heath Ledger still played a damn good joker though a lot better the Leto that's for damn sure

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

how so? they're different. ledger was no more joker than leto, cause ledger was no comicbook joker

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Jared Leto's Joker is just the word "swag" that time-travelled five years forward, listened to Lil Wayne, did meth and dyed its hair green.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Shut up already with this crap... jeez.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

You forgot the OG Joker

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

DC movies dont really do their villains to well. Luthor was the Joker, and The Joker was a... Really excited kingpin

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

RIP Heath Ledger

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

man it would be so cool to have him as a cameo in dark knight rises

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I loved all of them.. but super obsessed with Mark Hamill joker.. if I could marry him I would

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I'd love it if Mark Hamill was slimmed with CG (a la Captain America) and did a live version. Don't think it's in the cards, though.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

i dunno.. i dont kinda feel like he has the face for it either

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'd have definitely said the same about any of the men in OP's image. Actually the most about Ledger and I think he was the best of the four

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

by all means, i totally agree. but i still think leto has got a chance. but joker is not one thing.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Fun fact: in the original comics, when batman asks the identity of the joker, it turns out there are three jokers, respecting the three (1/)

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ages of the comic book eras: the gold, the silver, an the bronze eras. Some believe the live action movies pay respect to that storyline.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Leto's joker takes on a very "boss" like persona. Aside from all of the club dealings (which I'm still iffy on), the new joker likes 1/?

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

....to be very dominant. He wants to be in control of the situation and the people around him, and he makes sure they acknowledge his 2/

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

....position as the alpha of the group (I.e. guard kissing the ring, making Harley swear her life to him, ect). 3/3

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

agreed, but isnt that how the joker rolls though

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

sound like trump yet?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Can't argue with Hamil being the best, but on-screen best is Ledger by far, IMO.

9 years ago | Likes 287 Dislikes 14

I'm pretty sure 95% of people think this lol

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

*fist bump

9 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

I concur

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not really a fan of Ledger's Joker. He's great at his own thing, but I always preferred the Joker "doing things because it's funny".

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 5

My favorite has always been Nicholson.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Ledger comes third on my list.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Ehh, at first I enjoyed his interpretation of it but over the years I've found Ledger's role to be stale. It isn't timeless like others'.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 5

I kind of feel that a bit, but I think it's just that I've seen it waaay more than the others

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Hear this a lot about Hamil, having not seen his portrayal how can he be the best given he's voice only, all due respect. Its a half job no?

9 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 14

Watch him as the Trickster in Flash. He can pull the whole thing off.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yea I don't get the circlejerk over him too

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 9

2 be the iconic laugh, or it could be his general cadence, but Hamill's portrayal is just what they think of, no matter the context.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's not really a circlejerk, so much as, when people think of the Joker, in any context, they think of Hamill's portrayal. It may just 1/2

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Theres an Episode in The Flash tv show where he plays the trickster. Its literally just the joker. Seriously go watch that. Hamil is best.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'll do some digging, thank you

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not exactly. The voice he does is tremendous and requires serious skill. It's not like he's using his own voice. He also did the Joker (1/2)

9 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

It's not like the others used their normal speaking voice. They all changed to create the character.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

voice for most of the Arkham games if you've played them. (2/2)

9 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

Oh yeah I've played! he does a great job in them. But im just feeling the others have voice, expression, mannerism etc to do. Ledger for me

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

The problem is that the image, and the people who state it, are talking about how the Joker is delivered in the final product, not the 1/2

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh yeah Ledger is still definitely my favorite Joker but Hamill as Joker in the animated series and some Arkham games is absolutely iconic.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

4 Joker overall.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

3 hands down, but because the voice Hamill lends blends so perfectly with the rest of the work the animators do, it just works as a better

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

2 measurement of the work of a single actor. If we're measuring how far an actor has gone into portraying the Joker, then yeah, Ledger,

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

To everyone sitting on leto. I for one found it to be very entertaining, and I don't care if I'm down voted for it.

9 years ago | Likes 208 Dislikes 62

Leto sucks massive horse cock

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 4

how in-depth of you. please keep on ranting

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Leto was amazing, he was a new take, just like ledger was in his time. he was no comicbook joker either.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Since no one else is saying it...I would GLADLY sit on Leto, if you know what I mean! Also, I liked his Joker in Suicide Squad.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

i can honestly see people growing on leto. at first he was HATED by, like EVERYONE. and now i see more andmore warming up to him. thats good

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I agree. I need more for a full assessment. He was genuinely creepy though. I'll give him that.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

Joker was superfluous in Suicide Squad. So was Harley. Deadshot was the main character.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I mean, to be fair even in the comics, Deadshot was the main character as leader.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Nothing like telling us you don't care to convince us that you actually don't care.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

Hes a highly underrated actor, and brought the comics into his Joker, every J has to be different. He thought it to be an insult to channel.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

Ledgers or others' Jokers.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

thank you. comparing is useless, and wrong. ledger was good, but sorry, we was no comic book joker like hamill. dont get the hate on leto

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I liked Leto's work as the joker. I thought it fit the tone of the other characters.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

Didn't see enough of him to judge quite honestly

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

This. I don't hate on the movie like a lot people seem to do. Quite enjoyed it. Not enough Joker to be really feel his take on the Joker.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Why are people sitting on him?

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I really didnt like his laugh. That was like 50% of it

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

well he did only laugh like 3 times. maybe it'll improve

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I agree with you.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Heath was slated for not being jack. Leto was slated for not being heath. His acting, his character were fucking amazing.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

indeed. i will guarantee you that the next joker will be compared to letos, and it will be this all over again. "omg he's no leto

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Loved Letos Joker. He was crazy. I hope we get the deleted scenes on blu ray

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 4

do you know if we'll get an ultimate cut, like with BvS?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

David Ayer said that this was the director's cut but I don't believe him. I hope we get one though

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

For me, it's all about the "Joker effect": the sense of uneasiness, if not borderline dread, when the character says or does anything (1/4)

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

on screen. When someone portrays the Joker, I expect them to essentially terrify me, because that's what the Joker is for me. He's a (2/4)

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

symbol of terror so ingrained in human psyche that he makes me feel scared to be around him. Leto....didn't do that, for me. He (3/4)

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

came across like a watered-down imitation of Ledger, without that element of fear, which took away from the character for me. (4/4)

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I feel like Leto could be a fine joker, if given the opportunity.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

maybe he'll get there, he had little screen time to really determine him yet

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well, and I feel like whoever wrote his script never read the comics. I don't mind a different take on the joker, as long as it's still him.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

i see your point, but that being said, your argument could also be used on ledgers joker then.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Good point, good point.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

His acting wasn't the problem, it was the direction and the whole approach to the character.

9 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 1

can i ask why? because he's not comicbook joker? neither was ledger

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

The Joker needs to have a sort of overarching sense of humor about everything. This guy was too serious. Not the real Joker.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

i'm sorry, but so was ledgers. yes he also had humor but very serious. leto might be like that, we havent seen enough

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I've seen enough of Leto ;)

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I liked the movie—doesn't deserve 26% on RT. But, I always felt like Leto was trying too hard. Ledger really sold me on his Joker.

9 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 7

i respectfully disagree. i felt leto was good as a joker. comparing is useless cos theyre different and ledger was no more joker than leto

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

The movie definitely doesn't deserve that score, it's weird. But Leto's Joker was dreadful imo, it just wasn't the Joker.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

I would disagree. The movie as a whole was completely broken by the editing alone.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

ledger hd a very interesting take on the joker that really hard to beat

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

Didn't love it at first. Now I really appreciate his mannerisms, look and delivery. Leto came off as a poor imitation. Did like HQ though.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I see your point about leto joker maybe he should have played it more like the joker from the animated series but too late for that

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

The whole movie was trying too hard.

9 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 1

Story was decent. Execution was bizarre.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 7

Agreed. Just trying so hard to be "edgy" and cool, and grab some of that Deadpool money.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Leto wasn't a psychopath, he was a snore fest. All he did as the Joker was put the theater to sleep

9 years ago | Likes 60 Dislikes 44

you people fetishize ledger way to much. yes he was amazing, but leto nailed it. ledger would never fit in in this universe

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Imo they didn't give him alot of time to be fair. I liked the part where he shot the guy in the club

9 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 2

Spoilers! What's even the point of watching the movie now?!

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

The majority of people actually like Leto's Joker.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I actually really liked him!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

... in the Theater I was in, everyone loved it.

9 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 6

I literally fell asleep during the movie. My friend fell asleep twice. An actual snorefest

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 12

personal opinion. I saw this movie as the perfect

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 5

comic book movie.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Really? If you don't mind could you explain why. I'm genuinely curious because I sincerely want to know what perfection anyone saw in it.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

well, It was entertaining, and captured the characters fairly well. it felt like the comic, and that's why it appeals to people.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Welp I honestly went into the movie not expecting much. Action was meh, characters were meh. It just didn't interest me much

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0
