Hard work has always been the secret to getting good at something. You wanna be a musician? Practice. You wanna be a writer? Write a lot. You wanna be an artist? Draw, draw, draw.
These videos are always presented as skill, and often show the person doing it bored out of their mind and celebrating like mad when it (finally) happens after what I assume to be hundreds of tries.
High frustration tolerance, persistence, determination, concentration.. these ARE skills, and they take practice to develop. The "perfect accuracy" shot isn't necessarily the skill; it's the result of their skill of continued effort.
Or how about we let kids fucking enjoy things? And maybe we can even let that joy entertain us, as well. Not everything has to be preparation for working until we all god-damned die.
It's rather they do this with their free time than something harmful. If it earns them money it's not different from some clipboard manager's job, other than some people actually enjoy what they've created.
If he is that young, in some republican run states, that age isn't too young. Illinois it's 12, ND and NV it's 14. At 14 I was helping my dad clean carpets for a summer job and also had keys to a savings and loan to go in once a week to mop, vacuum, clean toilets, basic janitorial stuff. I had to ride my bike there. I live in Texas. I agree kids should be kids.
He spent 40 hours to get that one shot. He makes money from posting those videos. It's literally his job. Some people make shockingly little money doing that. Some make shockingly much. It's weird.
True. I missed the mark for a career in Twitch and Youtube. Wife has a friend who's son is a professional twitch and YouTube gamer. He got a new Toyota Supra. I've also been told my personality is cynical and I'm odd.

This is how RNG works in games. Have fun repeating the process another 20000 times because you need more than one piece of something.

I love that one of them is a lefty.

Gotta be honest - my first thought was "this would be an amazing trick to keep the kids occupied", for when you really need a parent break.

How the hell do you think artists get GOOD at art? We PRACTICE!
Theoneandonlydickpoop
It takes time to become great, talent can make you good but you still have to practice years to become master. Art is as alive as ever

This is a massive waste of it though. But whatever. At least they aren't stealing my bikes

You're fun.

Time enjoyed is never wasted.

Lol, they should be using their little fingers in the textile industry instead.
alienwax
As long as they're having fun, then they're spending it exactly as they should. We all waste time in our youth one way or another :)
coffeeandprozac
They're being active, having fun, enjoying life - and that's a waste? I'm sorry life beat you so hard that kids having fun bothers you so much.
Magnar1183
And they're most likely making decent cash for how popular they are.
