I get the roselle IL fake IRS calls. I think I've blocked about 50 numbers from Roselle IL.

Try it sometime, it's a great way to grow as a person. Not everything is sunshine and rainbows when it comes to life.

"this is an important message about your warranty that's about to expire..."

Anyone who knows me well enough knows to text me. Calling me is futile.

I lived in a small Canadian town. I've had conversations with wrong number people because I know them

If it is a random number just answer and stay silent, a lot of the robots only activate if they detect audio.

Seriously, this was on FP a few hours ago. I get the need for reposting but patience is a virtue, man.

But it's an important message from cardmember services!

It's always RTA claim people with me. I like wasting their time and then telling them to find a new job

I just block the number or answer and tell them they have the wrong number.

Why not? I do answer em, waste theyre time to enlighten my amusement. And after i have enough i tell em that i have to ask my legal guardian

I had a guy tell me I could shove my credit card up my ass when he found out I was fucking with him

This story needs a post of its own. We need to know what you told him, so we can use as pointers next time we get a call like that.

I agree.

Because that wastes my time. They're getting paid for that time.

Unless they are paid commissions

If they don't leave a voicemail, it's not important.

Although I dont use voicemail I share the same sentiments

Don't leave a voicemail? , I will just assume it's a spam call and block it. Think I'm over 80 numbers blocked after just 4 years.

I keep getting voicemails saying I recently stayed at one of their resorts and I was randomly selected for a free vacation.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Which is an obvious lie bc I can't afford to stay at no god damn resort!

I listened to one of those all the way through and it gave no information as to what I was supposed to do to begin with.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It was like "You won a free vacation! Congrats!" and hung up. Every time.

"Your loan has been approved! Well, bye now"

My voicemail says to send a text.

Ya, Voice to text voicemail is epic.

I ❤️voicemail to text. Brought to us by the gods and goddesses of technology!!

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

And then you probably don't read the texts too, right?

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

I have actually never received a text from any of the unknown numbers who call and hang up before the beep.

I tend to answer my phone whenever it rings. It's often a real call. I wouldn't mind the scam calls as much if they weren't robots.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You should still be careful. You are confirming when answering that you are a real person which tends to perpetuate the scan calls.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I also just read an article that some scammers are recording to try to get you to say certain things like "yes" and they use the it 4 later.

I'd like to yell at a real person more often.

Yelling is also not healthy

Holding in anger is worse.

Losing control to anger is worst. That's what monks say anyways.
