I didn't especially enjoy it, kinda grim for my tastes, but I still frequently think about many of the concepts in it. So big points to Peter Watts for that.
It's definitely not for everyone. I get drawn to the dark, psychological thriller type books. I enjoy when a book is thought-provoking, no matter how uncomfortable it may get.
