This is exactly the only reason why they threw on federal charges. New York doesn't have the Death Penalty, so he would have gotten life in prison without parole most likely.

So did Imgur get hacked? Everything's in Comic sans (or something?) and all upvotes turn to downvotes...like WTF is going on people...do I need to clear my browser history and block Imgur for a while or WTF?

Also...to stay on topic...fuck Pam Bondi. What a cunt.

luigi isnt the threat america needs to be made safe from

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

How about seeking the death penalty for the traitor Trump and the other foreign agents?

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I hope this backfires and generates more Luigis

"An innocent man" who caused death or suffering for thousands. NO!

Jury nullification!

_Quietly_ calls for death penalty, after realizing the corpo press failed to demonize him.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Classic DOJ bullshit, if it's just a normal person, it's Ok for them to die, if it was a rich fuck, it grips their heart and seek out justice.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Shocked america? You mean United America?

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I thought NYC didn't have the death penalty? At least that's what Daredevil taught me.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He was stopping a serial killer.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

DOJ is federal. This case is at the STATE level. The DOJ should have no say or influence on this whatsoever.

But this is life in the fascist autocracy that Trump and Republicans have created. The DOJ is run by Pamela Bondi, who has been Trump's PERSONAL LAWYER. Can you say "BIAS" boys and girls?

The parasite's "young children" were 16 & 19; they lived with their mother in a residence separate from him at the time of his demise.

1 year ago | Likes 158 Dislikes 2

Why were they separated... Hey, HEY! why were they separated Mr prosecutor? ANSWER ME!

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Nullify that jury baby!

1 year ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 1

OMG such a zany April's fool joke (by Imgur) and the world at large.

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Luigi for President!

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

He can't be prosecuted while running.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

remind me of the punishment for other killers who have killed dozens of people??

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

How often did Trump's administration pursue the death penalty for other murderers, and school shooters?

1 year ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 0

Can you cite any school shooters that weren't tried for the death penalty? The ones I looked up like N. Cruz were attempted but jury said no

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I'm asking how many received instruction from Trump and his staff. CNN was only able to find one case where Trump and his gang ever did, and it was a guy who drove a U-Haul through a crowd.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

That said, I also think this guy here will get a jury that will be incapable of a unanimous death penalty conviction. He'll get life at best

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Most murderers don't get the death penalty, regardless if their victim had a family or the murder was done in public.

1 year ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

They desperately need to make an example of him so they aren't next. Every attempt at character assassination against him in the media has failed, so all they have left is to try to kill him for real

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Oh I know. Just point out how blatant their fear and desperation is

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Turning him into a martyr would bring more power to his cause than anything else

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But, New York doesnt even have a death penalty.

1 year ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Federal overrides state laws

1 year ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Isn't it federal because he crossed state lines to commit the killing?

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Which is why there are federal charges, so they can kill him as an example.

1 year ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

They can't have folks just wandering around & killing rich people...

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And they get a martyr and a hero out of him. Not the smartest move, but hey, not the smartest people up in there, so...

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

With how our system is set up, he'll be sitting on Death Row for a couple of decades. By then, it will be out of sight, out of mind. With how things are devolving, he might be the first or many national televised public executions.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Not if they force him to with a plea deal, they do it all the time and switch it life in prison.

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, never gonna happen. They'll only maintain the pretense of a fair trial up until the last minute when they are no longer 100% sure they can convict. They will go through the motions, try to put a finger on the scales, but if he has an even half decent lawyer this will be at best for them a tossup when it comes to chances of a conviction.

And then he'll disappear in the middle of the night, "in the interest of national security", never to be seen again.

Luigi should be Time magazines person of the year. Not that orange shit stain sitting in the oval office finding ways to hurt people in between rounds of cheating at golf.

1 year ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 2

' featuring a person, group, idea, or object that "for better or for worse ...has done the most to influence the events of the year" '

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah when Google published that year video summary...it just seemed so obvious that Luigi was intentionally omitted.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Why is it a federal case?

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Because CEOs have bought the government, and the politicians don't want to lose their cashflow.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No like, what is the basis for it being a federal case? did he cross state lines?

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, he went from Atlanta to NYC.

Lessons learned: Do your murder in state, and don't cross state lines.... which is weird because Rittenhouse crossed state lines, but didn't go to federal court, even though it was under Biden.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ah that's what you meant by it. And yeah, Rittenhouse murdered people too, yet is toted as a 'hero' of the rightwing. While Luigi murdered one man who was responsible for the deaths of many, and is toted as a hero of the commonfolk, regardless of their political affiliation. The difference is, as I said, CEOs bought the government, and making it okay to kill them even if they're horrible people, means that the politicians won't get their money from their CEO sources, fuck Citizens United.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Funny in the country I grew up in our government used to say things like “allegedly” and “supposedly” because there hasn’t been a verdict.

Did I miss the entire proceedings?

1 year ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Remember. Its ok if they kill YOU because of ignorance, negligence, or just pure evil.

1 year ago | Likes 258 Dislikes 1

*as long as they make a buck while doing it!

However if he had a go fund me and was sponsored it would have been domestic terrorism

“It’s a legal business model!”

1 year ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

More to the point, it's OK if they kill you to protect the shareholders

1 year ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Or just a little "whoops, we sent you to an El Salvadorian prison accidentallyish"

1 year ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

"We could totally just call up and get you back as well seeing how we set up a deal with the prison for millions but we will just pretend we are incompetent and cant"

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

"the murder took place in public with bystanders nearby, may have posed grave risk of death to additional persons," the statement said." No, it's very clear there was 1 objective

1 year ago | Likes 136 Dislikes 0

also, police kill innocent bystanders all the time because of their own incompetence and malice

1 year ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 1

hmm wenn cops open fire on a black kid on its knees it doesnt seem to matter if they endanger bystanders,

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Theoretically speaking He could have OKC the conference if he wanted to. But he was concerned about collateral damage. That’s why he chose that method. To minimize collateral damage.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

May have is reasonable doubt

1 year ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

Fair but I don't think the death penalty should be on the table for a "may have"

1 year ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

But isn't the death penalty because it was premeditated murder? Isn't that what makes it 1st degree and a potential for a death penalty?

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No, but it is. And if the defense can establish reasonable doubt, that erodes the prosecution's case

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

The prosecution has reasonable doubt. They wrote the may have.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I don't think the death penalty should be on the table for anything because the state ought not to be allowed to decide it can kill citizens

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

That said, we don't live in my magic utopia. He meets all the criteria for capital punishment: 1st degree murder, premeditation, terrorism.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

The words he used on the bullet casings leave a simple threat: Insurance companies must change their practice or face more assassinations.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

The only thing about this that "shocked America" was that it didn't happen sooner

1 year ago | Likes 42 Dislikes 0

Or more often.
