Figured out how they did it; they changed the website spam filter to include #TeamFolders during the event.

It's the same filter that blocks certain links, repeat comments etc. quietly makes the comment disappear from the original post

Tested it in a replicatable way to solve how they did it. Use a URL shortening website to make a short URL, then post that as a comment

The filter auto-hides the comment from any page, but it'll still show up (as a broken comment) under your comments on your profile.

So: they added #TeamFolders to the automatic spam filter for the event, then removed the term the next day.
